Children Sacrificed to Pay for Easy Access to Guns

June 14, 2016 - A man who shot his girlfriend's 18-month-old son has been arrested, the Douglas County [Oregon] Sheriff's Office said.

I grew up in a small town where guns/gun ownership was pretty commonplace, when I lived by myself I even considered buying a gun for protection, but I digress.
