I was raised by two gay dads. Ask me anything

I'm starting this because of the thread in General Parenting.

Do you think this is remarkable or something? Why do you think it's worthy of an AMA thread?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Or were you just born that way? Read OP's first post!

Male or female, and how did you turn out?
What do you wish had been different?

Did you watch the show "my two dads" growing up? Even though the circumstances were somewhat different, did you find it relatable?

I'm female, and not to brag, but I think I turned out pretty awesomely.
I don't really wish anything had been different. Both my parents are pretty foodie-intense and as a kid, sometimes I just wanted regular Welch's grape jelly instead of quince jam or whatever, but that's pretty much my only complaint.

The thing with Paul Reiser and the judge? I saw that. Not at all relatable.

I had a happy childhood, but I would have LOVED being raised by two dads.

My good friend came out in high school, and since then most (not all) of the gay men I've known have been loving, brutally honest (for good - not evil!), creative and compassionate.

It's a win-win.

I think it's awesome and a good thread. I was raised by foster parents because my real mother died and my father was off kilter. I always thought it would be great to have two gay parents as long as they loved me and took care of me.

Coming from a family where most nights dinner included cream of mushroom soup, this sounds amazing.
