Are you Jewish? Not that you have to be Jewish to eat Matzo Ball soup but you DID say you grew up in NYC. If so, did your dads raise you in the Jewish faith? Synagogue, Bat Mitzvah, etc.? Just curious. |

What did you call them?
Dad and Daddy, for example? Or did you use their first names? |
| What is your occupation? |
Wow, you're all obsessed with this female role model thing, aren't you? Look, both my dads have mothers. D's grandma lives with his parents and lived close to us, so I spent a lot of time with my grandma and great-grandma. C's mom is very nurturing, though lived farther away. C has two sisters and I'm very close with one of my aunts, and his two best friends are female. Plus all my friends and their moms were around. There were women in my life, is what I'm trying to say. No, there was not a standard good cop/bad cop thing going on. I knew who to go to for what. Want a new comforter? Go to D? Want to try this new food I heard about? Go to D. Want to get better at swimming? Go to C. Want to travel somewhere? Go to C. Lol, it happened. |
My dads are not Jewish. I married a Jewish guy though, and converted while we were engaged. |
| Are your parents married? |
I called them the weirdest things. One I called Da-da. The other I called Coppa. (don't know why) (rhymes with Jimmy Hoffa) When I was a teenager I decided I was too cool for such babyish names and shortened them to C and D (which are also their first initials). |
As of 2011, baby! |
Physical therapist. |
| Do you have children? Is that why you made your way to DCUM? |
Are you an only child? How many siblings??
