+1. The OP has no intention of following any of the advice she just wants to know so she can say" OMG but you're not healthy" eating that way to feel good about her non skinny self. |
| I wish OPs on these types of threads would define out their definition of “skinny” and save us all a lot of time. |
Sounds like a busy person. Plus, in many countries picking meat off the bones is the best part of the chicken. No doubt this is just one day. |
no way fatty
|
Threw keto bars and picking leftover meat off a chicken carcass? Whoever this is, I hope you can find the time to make your health and nourishment more of a priority |
Me too. Are we talking the fairly common "thin" of a low BMI and small dress size, or how I think of "skinny" which is more along the lines of getting looks on the street and family concerned about your health? |
Those two are pretty much the same on Dcum. |

75% vegetarian diet, 3 meals a day almost always.
Bfast: double espresso, vegan yogurt or oatmeal or cornmeal with blueberries Lunch: usually a big soup with a piece of bread, or avocado toast with a piece of salmon or a salad with olive oil and lemon Dinner: either pasta or noodle dish or curry with steamed or grilled vegetables and some sort of protein (tofu, tempeh, sometimes fish) 2 glasses of wine or 1 cocktail I'm not into snacking, but love pretzels and popcorn, when I remember to get some. I love to eat and to plan my next meal! |
I will have you know that you thought you were tearing down that pp. Still, in fact, you offended millions of people worldwide with your Orientalist Western attitude of ignorance and perceived superiority. Gnawing on chicken bones and other bones is a custom well cherished in many societies and has been a staple in many cultures. Out of necessity and need, and joy too. Not only do kids fight who will gnaw it, but mothers and parents can also satisfy nutritional needs while making sure their kids are properly fed. Further, gnawing on cartilage is prone to have health benefits. Perhaps instead of buying collagen and paying surgeons to fix you and your bones, you could do with some bone gnawing yourself. Instead, you choose to be an ignorant American who puts down anything that she doesn't understand. No, you are not civilized just bcs you proclaimed chicken bones as scraps? They are essential food around the world. Nobody but ignorant Western Orientalist would put down 2/3 or more of the world. So, pp is, in fact, doing something right when gnawing on chicken scraps like a dog. I bet you that pp has a strong immune system and bones and is aging well, whereas you.. well, what can be said of the most savage nation in the world? That you condemn eating chicken scraps but have no scruples invading and murdering mand causing deaths of millions with their actions around the world? How ironic! If only you gnawed some chicken bones, try beef and pork ones too(Oh wait, you do that!) instead of bringing "peace" to the world. Your words are so offensive that I did not report you to Jeff as I think others need to see the error of your ways. |
Ok, loony. It’s fine to eat bones as PART of a meal. My grandmother did during the Depression. But to have gnawing a bone be her entire dinner (no, keto bars are not food) is unhealthy. I defy you to find me a culture in which everyone is perfectly content with one chicken bone and nothing else. |
| No, looney, pp said, today, as is today. Only a disordered dcum dieting pp would assume that meant all the time. One day is one day. |
| What’s a western orientalist |
Maybe they meant western omelette. I like those |
this is true. I am normal to slightly pudgy (5'2", 120-125 lbs). I have coffee with whole milk, 1 sugar for breakfast. I almost never eat breakfast, just not hungry. Lunch is almost always i piece of sourdough with avocado, turkey, lettuce ,tomato. Maybe a piece of fruit. If I am out, its usually a salad with salmon or chicken etc. Dinner is a glass of wine and a moderate portion of whatever we are having but some combo of protein, salad and carb. I have a second glass of wine or small dessert (mini cone from trader joes, etc) a few times a week. We probably go out 1-2x/week. I try to eat reasonably healthy but I dont deprive myself. I am not thin, not fat, work out 3-4x/week moderately. |
1, 2 uneducated and proud to be uneducated people. Who never heard of google. |
