Really just stop it. No chance any school other than Landon or Bullis wins IAC.

Team to beat? Landon/Gonzaga
Sleeper or surprise team? G Prep
Upset specials? St Alban's over Landon

WCAC Champ? Gonzaga
IAC Champ? G Prep
MAC Champ? Potomac
Best Public? Churchill (MD) Oakton (VA)

Thoughts?

Yes, even though there is snow on the ground at the moment, the whiff of lacrosse is definitely in the air. Appreciate your thoughts on the season. As for publics, Whitman seems to be ramping things up, participating in fall ball and box. Can only mean better things in the spring. Quince Orchard has also been been on an upward trajectory. All in all expect things are looking up for MoCo lax. Haven't seen the schedules yet, but I hope we see some MoCo publics v area privates on the schedules.

Oh please no. Those would be awful, boring games. No IAC or WCAC school should waste their time playing a MoCo public school. What a waste of time.

Well didn't the Heights lose to Churchill last year by a couple?

I think Churchill could easily run with STA, the Heights, Potomac, Flint Hill, Episcopla and most teams in the WCAC outside of Gonzaga and PVI.

Churchill will continue to get better as the sport continues to develop - that's a good thing. QUince Orchard is still a few years behind Churchill.

Different poster and not a GP booster, but they didn’t lose any seniors and everyone else did. This team is a great sleeper pick, but I’m going Landon. Bullis isn’t deep at midfield past one player, one pole and two attack. I think every team has that save STA.

Prep graduated two senior middies who both started and two senior attackmen, both would start from time to time.

I think GP will be much improved this year as the new coaching staff will have had a year to build some chemistry with this team. The Episcopal transfer should help them with depth in the midfield. Preps 2019 and 2020 classes are loaded so look for the Hoyas to really make some noise in two years.

Gonzaga schedule has been posted. Interesting that the only team they are playing from the Baltimore league is Boys Latin. Looks like their annual matchup with McDonogh ended.

not an impressive schedule for Gonzaga!

Why are they playing the Heights? really?

On their Spring Break trip to Florida it doesnt appear they are playing any of the big boys from the Sunshine state.

only one team from Baltimore on their schedule? Boys Latin who is typically is always a strong team.

Gonzaga is playing The Heights because they recently joined the WCAC:

With the exception of McDonogh, this is essentially the same schedule that Gonzaga plays every year.

Gonzaga plays Landon, Bullis, and Prep that takes care of the DC area. Dropping Mcdonogh and playing a weak FLA schedule is disappointing but overall an OK schedule.

what makes you think Gonzaga dropped Mcdonogh

are you a McDonogh coach?

or some lunatic lacrosse father who thinks he is an "insider"

Baltimore programs have been avoiding DC teams for a while now.
