His gf was the original source of the leak to the dailymail. When word got out about what DM was about to break in their story, media started reaching out to Lochte's mom, who confirmed it. His gf received a 5 figure payment for her "leak" - I'll be curious to see if he keeps her around much longer after this.

This press conference is bizarre. The man speaking (I am not sure of his position) will say that he can’t confirm something that is asked, then proceeds to hypothesize about an answer.

I am still not clear what happened here...... this person speaking has muddied the waters somewhat.

And, because the armed security guard wishes not to be identified because he may suffer retribution (????), he has promised not to release his name. WTF????

Where is the video of them trashing a bathroom? I can see what appears to be a walkway that leads to a bathroom. No kicking by Lochte or the other guys (it looks like the last guy out makes a fast movement but he is not one of the swimmers). Plus a minute or so was removed from the video while they were back there. Another three minutes is removed before they get out of the taxi with their hands up.

Myself. I work in entertainment and I shared this tidbit a few pages back before things really blew up. DailyMail reporter idiotically discussed paying his gf for info in Kayla's comments before one of them suggested moving it to DM's (direct messages) and Kayla wisely deleted the public back and forth on her Instagram.
