Landon lost to PVI last fall too. Look how that worked out for them....Landon had top players for lax team out with injuries after helping their respective teams (football and soccer) win IAC championships. You PVI dads need to settle down.

I recall last year, PVI also beat Landon pretty good in the Fall.

If only PVI could win when it really matters....

PVI beat Landon by one goal last Fall, idiot Dad.

Bullis will win the IAC this year for sure. Bullis was dominant in 2016, Landon was dominant in 2017, but Bullis will have the top roster in the area this year.

Bullis was not dominant in 2016, they loss to Gonzaga and Hill. Gonzaga was dominant in 2016.

I doubt Bullis will go undefeated in 2018 but who knows the school might admit a few new lacrosse players come March 1st

Yes, they did. They also beat McDonogh to whom Gonzaga lost. Both were excellent teams, although I believe Bullis was ranked higher. One thing's for sure - Gonzaga was down last year and will be again this year.

I wouldn't talk about transfers. Remember Gonzaga poaching Offutt from Landon? And we're not even talking about the numerous transfers Gonzaga gets every year for football and basketball.

And let's not forget the landon poaching. Goalie from mater dei and middie from st albans to name a few.

Coming to Landon as sophomores after not enjoying their frosh experiences enough to stay another year is hardly poaching on Landon's part.

PVI is a fine school, but what is the time table to move to the new campus? Do they have plans? Groundbreaking?

Landon brought in a SENIOR to play PG on their basketball team. I personally think that's fine if that's what the kid's family wanted. But if Landon families are going to criticize transfers at other schools, they are being complete hypocrites.

Landon brought in a senior transfer from DeMatha to play basketball over 3 years ago. Prep brought in a lacrosse player from Episcopal this Summer. St. Albans took a stud FOGO from Sidwell a year ago.

None of these even compare to the 10 transfers Bullis has on its lacrosse roster or the dozen plus football transfer on your football team just in the past two seasons. I'm not denying all schools in the area pick up a transfer or two here and there but if you take away just half of the transfers Bullis brings in every year, their football and lacrosse teams would be middle of the road in the IAC.

The athletic coaches have shown little commitment to developing any home grown talent to the student athletes who have started in the middle school or who came in as freshman. It appears the school has embraced an IMG like philosophy.

Lax fogo STA is hardly a stud.
Schools like landon and STA still predominantly rely on homegrown talent.
Just because someone transfers doesn’t mean they are a recruit.

Yeah, except for:

two year starting goalie they poached from The Heights
middie going to Michigan that they poached from STA (and who was their best offensive player)
kid they brought from Oregon who is now at Navy (yeah, he came to Landon from Oregon for the education)

and that's just in the past 2 years at Landon. STA doesn't go out and recruit/poach, but Landon most definitely does.

Wrong, it was 2 years ago that they brought in a senior recruit, which nullifies the crying over other schools who do the same thing. Bullis and, to a lesser extent, EHS do bring more transfers than the other IAC schools. But if it's not your son or school, it's none of your business.

The Bullis 2016 team did not have any transfers. All of those seniors had been there from freshmen year. God, it is sad to see the Landon and Prep dads crying abut HS sports. SSSA has brought in a lot of transfers, but they escape your wrath because they are less successful.

Keep crying, dad.

What makes you think its Landon dads crying? They were #1 in the country last year. If anything, it sounds like frustrated WCAC supporters.

Nah, most wcac teams dont play bullis.
