In 2017, Crumbley, from Oxford, spoke to a local newspaper about a school project he was working on with four of his classmates. The group worked with a nonprofit in town called Blessings in a Backpack, which fills backpacks with food and distributes them to “at risk” kids.

Sounds like a brainwashed kid.

The letter quoted in the article written by the suspect’s mother (stepmother?) to Trump was vile.

And she is convinced that they are middle class, no, you are poor. This is the problem, the mother has identified with a segment of population that she has nothing in common with. She speaks of immigrants, etc.

Of course they are conservative Trump trash!

You can want punishment for the crime and still want to understand the crime. In fact there's whole areas of study dedicated to it.

Do you think forensics teams are trying to free criminals by investigating the scene?

Mental gymnastics.

I mean sure, those Muslim terrorists were the ultimated bullied. Do you think people should stop and think about their motives?

Especially if under 18. Parents can’t manage this. There is literally no where to go and no help if you have a child struggling with mental illness and they are violent, other than to call the police. But really- that is not all that helpful

Mental health professional here-you’re completely wrong. More psych beds would be great but in no universe a remedy to this problem. what is needed: less access to guns.

Someone who wants a gun often will find one and not legally. Its far more to this than psych beds and gun control although we need both.

Real middle class don't make very much. You may consider them poor, but they aren't.

People die by suicide and commit school mass murders with their own family’s guns, not illegally obtained ones in the vast, vast majority of cases.

Very true. Unless you are going to ban purchasing guns for everyone- I don’t really see how more gun laws will help

Guns should only be stored in gun ranges. That is how the UK responded with gun laws after the first and only mass school shooting there.

+1 Conservatives think that all these kids running wild is due to lack of good parenting, and that it's usually the parent's fault for the kids not having any discipline.

This is the ultimate "lack of good parenting', and they should be held accountable. Let's see them practice what they preach.
