Yup - I fly to Atlanta a lot for work and there are flights every hour or two so on multiple airlines. And they would not be full on a Wednesday - I've often been able to change flights at the last minute. In fact she could still catch a flight.There is a flight at 7:09, 7:43, all the way to 10:25 tonight and they have space on them according to google flights.

Having traveled a lot internationally there is no way I would spend a night in Atlanta (or wherever) on the way home and delay my return another day.

We DO care. That's why the lies hurt so much, OP. Try to be consistent in your story, though. LA, Atlanta, DC? C'mon.
