I did and I find myself having to watch those after every episode so I have a clue what’s going on. And I don’t understand why the female characters changed from the time warp and all the male characters are still played by the same actors. I just think it’s such a waste of what could be good material. It’s poorly executed. |
Laenor was replaced by an older actor. |
DP. NO SPOILERS PLEASE! |
You are supposed to alert readers in advance to spoilers in case they want to avoid. This is common internet etiquette observed almost universally. I've had Jeff add it to the title, but even that doesn't really help because readers will assume its spoilers from the show, instead of spoilers from other books. |
Did you read the title of this thread? |
The Velaryon kids have had three sets of actors play them. In the first two episodes they were both played by children, so they could play up the "Viserys will not marry a 12 year old scene" and then for episode 3-5 they were played by young adult contemporaries of Rhaenyra. |
OP here. I did not write Spoilers in the title, although I expected them. Jeff must have added the SPOILERS because crybabies were sad they couldn't read the thread until they watched the most recent episode. |
That family tree that was posted says Rhaenyra is her great x 6 grandmother. |
Why do you get to decide? I like spoilers and I request more! -Yet another poster |
Dany is related to Rhaenyra but not to Alicent. Dany comes from the line of Rhaenyra’s son and his second wife, not Aegon’s daughter. It’s a different line. |
| Not sure if this has been discussed already, but I'm not feeling a connection between the old and new Rhaenyra. They seem like they have entirely different personalities. |
I literally said “spoilers I guess”. |
Funny, I feel that way about Allicent. |
I think that’s intentional. They’re trying to underline how Alicent has changed as she understands how shaky her children’s security/ future are. |
