I thought it was the brothel/house of the "white worm" or whoever that lady was who had kept Aegon hostage for that short period of time. So confusing.

I found this whole episode to be confusing. I didn't remember the Erryck twins - why would they tell Aegon his grandfather would meet him outside the city wall? To lure him to his grandfather?

Literally no idea why that building was burning at the end.

Could use a TINY bit more exposition with Helena? Is she straight up nuts or what?

No Rhaenyra in this episode - total disappointment.

I think they should have had Rhaenys burn Aegon, et al and let Aemond survive and he can battle it out. In the after the episode segment they had the showrunners say that Rhaenys didn't want to kill another mother's son and that's why she didn't burn Aegon. But there's not way Alicent wouldn't have died too, so twofer. Don't care what was in the books.

I'm a little surprised Alicent is such a neophyte at this stage. Say what you will about Cersei Lannister but she surrounded herself with people that would go to bat for her. No one would have planned a usurpation under her nose.

Agree, her kids are 20+ years old and she has a house full of babysitters, she has made NO friends except the 2 men?

She's been too busy judging Rhaenyra and wiping c** off her toes.

Disagree about Cersei. Perhaps it came more in the books but Cersei’s downfall was that she surrounded herself with yes men and thought her gender was all that was holding her back when really it was her lack of intelligence. Magaery was supposed to be the counterpoint to Cersei an intelligent and capable leader who was also a woman.

I like the GOT world and will watch, but find I don't want to watch because it actually makes me anxious for Rhaenyra.

Me too, I like Rhaenyra a lot and hate that she’s probably going to be screwed over by the cruel GOT world.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I've enjoyed this series so far. Was afraid it would be all flash and no substance.

Are we really supposed to believe pirate bro suddenly felt remorse, surprise or guilt or dread even for a split second??
So out of character. Why bother? It’s not like he’s going to plead anything from anyone.

Whose dragon was Daemon singing to? What's the story with that dragon? Does it belong to anyone?

So Daemon was choking Rhaneyra and he lets go and she's all..."He never told you." like that justifies the choke. I didn't understand that part at all.

I took his reaction as "Shit, I'm in trouble." I don't think he has remorse for the person but maybe remorse as in the repercussions or what this will certainly cause.

This series is painfully slow. I can’t believe you now need to wait a year for any action. I may just Google the book ending and be done with it

Wouldn’t holding a court on illuminating the knives’s message save this from disaster or now? Either aegon II or R can be king or queen…?..

This is what I got from it too. War has not officially been declared yet, but with the death of her son, Rhaenyra isn't going to negotiate anymore. How could she consider bending the knee when this proves she can't trust them with the safety of her family? Her only option at this point is war or running away.

We were unimpressed, not going to hold our breath excited for some month in 2024. Whatever.

I really liked last nights episode, although sad, it was good and entertaining.

I think it was more like, "Oh boy I just committed an unauthorized assassination".
