| I enjoyed it! |
| I'm in! |
| Loved it! Could’ve done without some of the violence, though. And hate Matt Smith’s character. |
Supposedly the series aims to be much less rape-y. Based on last night’s episode, still plenty of unnecessary brothel scenes. |
Yeah that was disappointing. GOT was so much better once those were (mostly) dispensed with. |
There was one brothel scene where everyone was having sex and then suddenly stopped. That was weird. We also got to see Matt Smith's butt and penis. I enjoyed the episode! I like that it centers around a young girl. Will she turn into a mad queen? I also liked that the Starks and Baratheon's pledged their allegiance to House Targaryen last night. It was a nice tie between the two shows. I did not like the opening scene - it was really quick and had no original song. |
| I thought it was fine but not compelling. The acting is good at least. I'll probably keep watching but wasn't "wow-ed". I wish that, if they were going to return to a Westeros/GoT series they had gone in a different direction and explored something/somewhere else. The fight for succession to the iron throne feels stale. |
| No Lannisters? |
| I knew there would be violence and blood but was unprepared for how much. Stopped watching halfway through, as it didn't seem worth it. |
| I had to cover my eyes during the violent scenes. Why does it have to be like this? It is okay for some of the violence to be implied. We get it, it doesn't have to be in your face. |
Barely any nudity? There were multiple orgy scenes in the first episode. Daily Mail is not much of a source, they write for people who will say LOL Game of Woke BURN!! and share without realizing an article is nonsense. |
Not in the first episode but there will be at least one, based on the IMDB casting lineup. |
Agree, thought there was a lot of lukewarm rehash in terms of plot and character. Without the wit of a Tyrion, or the heart and nobility of a Ned Stark or Jon Snow. Female characters also seem far less interesting. I'll give it another ep or two but right now and 'meh' on it. |
This is exactly what I said to my husband. We understand that a man is being castrated without showing a bloody penis after, good grief. I feel the same as others about the gratutitous sex and violence, but the actual storytelling seems okay so far. The actress who plays Rhanerya annoys me, which could become a problem. |
I’d prefer a prequel centered more in the north with the tree people |
