2025 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

Visi program needs to secure a full time coach who will oversee the day to day operations of its program otherwise SR and SJC will eat the cubs lunch.

Jude Collins is a very short term solution.

Visi Athletics has been run by morons for well over a decade.

Yes those academic Potomac girls showed all those girls on other teams committed to play college at top academic schools how you can be smart *and* athletic. 🙄

We are so glad the title is back with an ISL team! It elevates all the ISL teams with the Potomac win since all the top teams have wins and losses against each other.

the ISL is the best lacrosse conference in the DMV.

WCAC folks will try to dispute this but the ISL is really beginning to cement itself as legitimate girls lacrosse league in the country.

It varies from year to year. ISL was definitely stronger this year with 4 top teams. WCAC had only two.

Agree that ISL was the best girls lax conference in the DMV this year, and also agree that it varies over time.. SR (ISL) and GC (WCAC) have been on top for the past several years, and ISL has had a very strong 4 team top tier during that timeframe, while WCAC has really only had 2 or max 3 teams that were competitive at that level over the past couple of years. Before Potomac's recent run, though, when BI was winning the WCAC and PVI and GC were both strong, the balance of top teams would have favored the WCAC.

Visi's program will begin to gradually fade if they don't figure out a legitimate long term coach. They graduated a good 2025 class.

Parent's don't want to send their daughter to a program that has a new HC every 3 - 4 seasons... its very risky. The Cub don't have the depth they normally do and it showed this spring.

Programs that will likely benefit as Visi continues to drop the ball with hiring a non parent Head Coach: SR, SJC and Potomac (for Nova Families)

I think Potomac has a slight advantage, at least to attracting younger girls, in that it has the best bus system, so girls from all over can join. It also doesn’t push girls down to jv and is more than willing to put 9th & 10th graders on varsity and let them play. This is more a comparison vs SSSAS, but someone above seemed to favor SSSAS bc their jv is stronger, but I think SR and Potomac do better jobs of pulling girls up and playing them. At least at Potomac, most of the jv is 8th graders.

DMV includes Maryland. IAAM is hands down the top conference in the DMV.

We’re not talking about about the IAAM

Go start a Baltimore thread lady!

It does not include that part of Maryland. Next you're going to argue that STAB is part of the DMV since it is in Richmond VA? Please stop saying dumb things.
