wrong there are no freshmen on SSSAS Varsity and likely will be no freshman or sophomores next year as there are only 2 seniors leaving and the coach does not ever sub.

And there will be transfers so get ready for that.

Transfers to SSSA varsity.

At $55 k per year. Right? No way. Visi and SR cheaper.

Yes actually it has happened and will be next year too. Visi and SR might be a better choice but it is happening.

Come on. lmao

Not sure I agree that SJC would beat SSSAS now, but agree that underclassmen develop better when they get to play and overall team balance over multiple years can improve.

See eg Maryvale and SPSG in the IAAM. Both started Freshmen over established upperclass commits. Will be a benefit over the next several years.

playing time helps but the sjc freshman were a no show in WCAC championship game.

One of them had 3 goals, but nice post jack wagon.

If you keep bringing up your kids on this forum, you should expect someone will clap back. This is not the place where you should expect positive reinforcement on your anonymous hot take about how great your child played. Call your mother instead.

Not the OP and no dog in this particular fight, but do want these pages to work, so going to weigh in.

No one mentioned a specific kid or kids. More than half SJC's starters are underclassmen. The post seemed relevant to me in relation to the ongoing debate on how to work underclassmen into the Varsity rotation; a discussion that focused on some of the ISL schools. With that background, you went out of your way to attack a further subset and point out a game where you perceived they didn't play their best--apparently erroneously in part.

I think those of us who saw the game, or watched the feed, can all note that GC overpowered SJC. Good game for the Falcons. Your intent on personalizing this is ugly, and entirely on you. You should call your mother, or your psychologist, to explore that, but those viewpoints should not be welcome here.

Despite having a big senior class, I think GC had 3-4 underclassmen starters against SJC in the championship game. One might have even been a freshmen?

Wow! Sounds like someone is mad their upperclassmen DD didn’t get the playing time daddy thought she was entitled. Maybe she should put more work in and support the younger players on the team who must be better players than she is. Coaches play the best players in order to win.

The young SJC team had a great year and will be competitive with GC in two years.

3 sophomores and 1 freshman started with 2 other sophomores that would have played good time out with injury. Junior class is where the strength is at GC.

WCAC Awards coming out? Did GC dominate?

ISL awards seem to be posted by individual teams.

There’s no way anyone would be stupid enough to transfer in there

No dog in your fight? So where does the kid go to school? Not a SJC freshman? 🤣

Congrats to Potomac for winning its first ever VISAA state title by knocking off STAB yesterday.

Panthers capped off their best season in school history’s.

Congrats ladies and coaches!

Wonderful job Potomac! The girls played cohesively and really looked like they deserved the win yesterday.

Sincere congrats on the great win. Happy for those seniors. Amazing class for a small school with outstanding academics. Good luck to them in college. Hope the program can continue to bring in good players and compete in the ISL.

Potomac will remain strong in the years ahead.

Not sure they can match the success of the 2025 squad, but the program has become very competitive and nova families are taking notice.

Once KJ retires from SS/SA, the program will fall on deaf ears. The boys program has completely imploded and borderline might drop out of the IAC.

Seems like SSSAS would prioritize succession. Isn't the Capital Lacrosse Club #2 on staff? I wouldn't discount decades of reputation, and no doubt that even in Emeritus status, KJ would still be a relevant force for a while.
