How about going on vacation? None of you vacation at all? Or do you quit your jobs before you travel so that you don’t let your bosses down?

No dog in this fight, but a HS coach 100% can't go on vacation during the spring lacrosse season.
You absolutely can go on vacation during spring break. Why don't you write the AD? Please, please promise to copy the reply you get here.

If there are no practices or games during spring break, then sure a coach can do whatever they want. If the players need to be there during the season for practices or games, it is absolutely unacceptable for a coach to go on vacation, and nearly everyone would agree with this. I don’t care how much success a high school coach has had prior. As I have not dog in this fight and don’t know what is true or not, I’d guess the SR coach would not do this because the ideas is so ridiculous. You people are crazy kool aid types.
Salty Mom is talking about spring break, she just didn't say that part. See post above. Maybe don't just go off the reservation based on a clown post from a Salty Mom on DCUM.

Lax coaches dropping like flies. Any idea what happened over at PVI?

Does Visi have a new coach yet?

Does Yorktown have a new coach?

What happened to the Yorktown coach?

A coach can absolutely go on vacation during spring break as long as s/he doesn't expect the team to practice in their absence.

If SR was not a top choice for academics, many of those girls would go elsewhere.

If you can pay, you are admitted.

I don’t think most ever thought SR was a particularly tough admit.

SR is where you go if you dont get into Visi!

Actually not true. Many parents don’t want to hassle with the commute down to Visi.

And Visi is $15k less than SR and still not worth the hassle of driving to and from Georgetown.

Because the 495/270 is sucha joy!

You misspelled lacrosse. There are more than a couple schools that do well for academics.

Which begs a question. Anyone have the real skinny on why SR and GC didn't square off in 2025?

Go on the public school post for that question and info. No one here thinks about Yorktown, a public school in Arlington. Yorktown has nothing to do with WCAC or ISL.... I think the Saints like to scrimmage them since several of their top players are from Arlington. I do not think they have ever beat WCAC or ISL private school.....

Ask SR coach why there hasn't been a home-home series, same with SSSAS. Only Visi ever seems to be willing to come up to GC and play. The rest of the ISL won't seem to sign up for it so they only seem to play at Spring Fling.

I was asking for someone who might know why.

Because SR won't travel to GC. GC got tired of always having to go to SR to play.

OK, thanks. Honest question, how do you know this to be the case?

Players and coaches talk. And if you look at recent matchups you will see that the games always occur at 1 of 2 places: Spring Fling or SR for the last decade. It's the same with GC v. SSSAS.

So GC schedules IAAM schools or PA schools instead that will do it.
