Too many weak teams that benefit from being able to try to hold the ball for longer periods of time. The other team can't score if they don't have the ball. |
SSSAS are the stall queens. If you’re down by a goal in the 4Q it’s over. Glad to see it be implemented. |
They only had one senior last year and have a good SSSAS transfer and a few good ‘28s, so they should have a good year. I’m afraid to say anything about their coach and the likelihood that as long as she’s there they won’t have a good year bc someone pounces on people who dare to mention anything negative about her. |
So you actually aren't afraid to say negative things about her? |
I doubt they are better off. I saw her play last week against high level players and she stood out among all the girls. Don't kid yourself. |
The boys and co-ed schools already have the clocks due to football. The all-girls schools had no reason for a shot clock on the fields so they don't have them built into the scoreboards and it would be a pretty good expense to add them. |
The subtraction of the distraction, the poor attitude, and selfish play along with the exodus of the overly loud and obnoxious dad that follows can only be a good thing. Keep in mind no matter how good the player is if they are cancer in the locker room or the parents are on the sidelines acting like a fool a lot of top programs will pass. |
She is definitely an outstanding player and one of the top attackers in her class. But it is also true that she, and her parents, have horrible attitudes. |
Will be interesting if someone takes a chance on her. |
Her sister lasted one year at Butler and transferred out to USF for this season. |
You mean like the $50k plus tuition expense at a lot of these schools? Outdoor shot clocks can be had for a few hundred bucks. I think they can afford it. |
I’m sure a team will take a chance, but it probably will not be of the caliber this player is hoping for. College coaches will absolutely talk to others about her play and attitude, including her high school and club coaches and players. I’ve seen other good players get passed over with similar reputations. And don’t underestimate the impact parents can have on college coaches. These coach’s will hear from other parents of girls being recruited by a school about parents who act up at games and they believe will not be a good fit or look for the college program. |
Not sure where this is coming from. But we have played with said player. She leads on the field both offensively and defensively. Her parents are wonderful caring people, and well liked by the coaches and team. Generous and caring people. Any college team would be lucky to have them as part of the lax family! |
Cleanup on aisle 25! |
Thanks Mom. |
