Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
And therefore Brown Station ES needs a new principal. |
DCUM predicted this one! |
Shanay Snead is the Principal Intern and could take over. |
Yes we did! |
Don't they usually appoint more than one consulting principal? |
I knew this was coming. He’s an amazing principal. I wonder if they will appoint the trainee who was at Blake over the winter. |
She’s been gone since early February but you’re right and she would be a good choice. Everyone loved her -‘kids teachers, support staff . . . |
She was at Goshen for a minute and I loved her. She was very professional and had a wealth of knowledge. |
There are three currently. Is one of them leaving or are they adding a fourth? https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/directory/directory_Boxoffice.aspx?processlevel=s1174 |
She was at a lot of places for a minute, but I did not enjoy working with her. She *thinks* she has a wealth of knowledge but didn't show any interest in doing much beyond being the boss. I think it's telling that she spent four years as principal intern/acting principal a different schools when it's usually a one year thing. Hopefully she has learned a lot in the mean time and is ready to lead. I did think she was a nice person who cared about doing what she thought was best for them. |
| Anne dardarian and kim Bolden were just added. Is bob sinclair replacing David chia? If so, I think that’s it for next year. |
Consulting principal is apparently a 4-year rotating position: https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/personnel/classification/descriptions/description.aspx?fn=0555-169 Looks like David Chia was appointed 4 years ago, so maybe he's rotating off. |
She's still there as principal intern through June. Her stint as acting principal ended in Feb. |
| The Blake and Wyngate principal positions are already posted this morning. |
Curious if anybody knows why Brown Station’s principal left in the middle of the year? |
