| Yes, the Prep lacrosse twitter account seemed to be taunting Landon as well. Whether or not Landon initiated something at the game, c'mon Prep, be better than that. |

This just in...Top Club teams >>>> Top High School teams
In general the top club teams have the top kids from the surrounding High Schools. Its not the other way around |
Sloppy game with a lot of unforced turnovers by both teams. Landon goalie was amazing and kept it from being a much more lopsided outcome. Landon never really threatened, but goalie kept them in it til the end. Prep Fogo dominated possessions. Didn't see the specific call cited above. Certainly some missed/questionable calls in both directions, but wouldn't call it one sided or unusually bad. There seemed to be the typical trash talk/taunting by both sides for a high school rivalry game. Game was generally clean with no chippy cheap shots, which is where these things can descend if a poor ref crew doesn't take control. If Prep doesn't take better care of the ball, SJC will mop them up again on Friday. |
MIAA sucked this year. Very Mediocre play |
| Landons biggest issue all season is they can’t clear the ball. Too many athletes to get the ball to but the goalie continues to try to clear the ball to the midline and turns it over too many times. |
Unfortunately no one really knows that due to the same players couldn’t play on both teams to compete against each other. Duh |

Neutral Observer Here:
Prep was the better team last night. To beat their league rival, Landon, 4x in one season, is extremely impressive. Landon improved as the season carried on and so did Prep. These were the top 2 teams from the IAC. A few observations from last night. 1. The officials, while they were BAD, did not determine the outcome of the game last night. I counted 4 penalties against Landon, 1 against Prep. 2. Prep's FOGO is a beast... he won 80% of the draws... it makes it tough for any team to win if they don't have the ball 3. Out of the all the senior commits both teams, Georgetown Prep's #10 (Middie) and Landon's #4 (LSM) have a very strong chance of being high level impact players at the collegiate level. #10 from Prep is going to Notre Dame and #4 from Landon is going to Yale. 4. Prep has more potent offensive weapons than Landon does. The Hoyas move the ball around very cleanly while Landon tends to slow the game down and simply waits for a big dodge. Prep had more scoring opportunities than the Bears, I assume they outshot Landon. 5. Landon committed too many turnovers - while the Bears goalie played very well between the pipes, too many poor outlet passes (failed clears) which gave Prep too many 2nd chances leading to goals. Generally, better teams, capitalize on the opposing teams mistakes. 6. I was not aware that Landon started 3 freshman last night. GP graduates a very deep and talented senior class. I fully expect both of these teams to be top of the IAC next Spring. Assuming SJC holds onto beat DeMatha later this afternoon.... I think GP will make enough adjustments and beat SJC soundly in the finals (4+ goals). |

Too many failed clears in critical times for a Landon. Prep is ok. You would think with all of the positions their FO guy gives the offense they would totally dominate but they don’t.
I doubt they can beat St. John’s “soundly”. St. John’s clears the ball extremely well. If Preps offense plays like yesterday they won’t find success on the score board. |

+1 on Landon making critical clearing mistakes but prep is more than just “ok”
SJC defense must be pretty damn stellar to lose every face off to Prep but somehow beat the Hoyas by 4 goals |
| No way Prep beats SJC, not going to happen. |
| On another note - some of the Landon moms are real b$$$$$$. Wow. Talk about arrogant. |
Landon's achilles heel all year has been sloppy unforced clearing mistakes. Agree that Prep is flat out good, especially since their fogo dominates possession. |
Prep played younger guys (sophs) in the 2nd midfield last night for the first time all season. They took lead at 3-2 and were in control for the rest of the game. This was a very physical game by both teams who slid hard and disrupted set plays. Landon brought intensity and their fan base showed out. Landon is much more dependent on set plays/screens. Prep has more dynamic players that can score unassisted in many ways. Beating a rival 4x in one season is extremely difficult and a credit to Prep's talent. Prep played a very sloppy game vs SJ last time and was not mentally prepared...too many late nights carousing that week after the IAC tourney win. SJ scored half their goals in transition from Prep mistakes; rebound goals and one empty net goal at the very end. Despite this, the game was very close until the last few minutes. This will not happen in a rematch. Prep has a better, deeper team. I give SJ the edge at goalie and that is it. Prep wins on Friday. |
That's a joke. Yorktown can only pay whoever is in front of them and every team that was put in front of them was beat. You can say all you want with the "what if they played the 95 Bulls with Michael Jordan" scenarios you want but the fact remains is undefeated is undefeated. |
hence the commentary of how weak public lax is this spring. Get to the state finals |
