Only players that say that are ones that weren’t offered. |
That’s not true. |
I think it’s true. If you are a true competitor you want to play at the highest level. |
LOL the highest level in lacrosse? By the way Stevenson has produced multiple as in more than one professional lacrosse player in the MLL. Not true for several D1 programs for what that is worth. |
No money in lax. Can get more aid in D3 sometimes. NECSAC is full of kids who turned down D1 offers. ACC, Big Ten, some Ivy, some Big East and some Patriot. Rest wouldn’t hang with top 15 D3. Bellarmine and Mount St Mary’s is not the highest level. |
MLL? What’s that? |
Kidding yourself. |
| Looks like some teams are back to work. Who is the preseason #1 team? |
The question should be posted in the 2022 outlook thread and the answer is clear to most it is clearly Yorktown |
Ok. Let’s name names, Kurt Bruun is at Tufts and actually plays. The old Tufts goalie is a Yorktown kid who turned down multiple D1 offers. Two of the SJC kids who committed to Mt St Mary’s don’t play in big games. I think Kurt is a better player and Tufts kicked the crap out of Dartmouth. Dylan Hsu from Prep is headed to Amherst and he’s one of the best players in area. Have fun at Manhattan, Fairfield, or whatever D1 toilet that wouldn’t be top 15 in D3. |
| Whoa, easy there Kurt or Dylan’s mom…..that is pretty poor form calling those schools “toilets.” |
| Amherst? What a mess. |
| Woke U |
| This is an interesting discussion on D1 vs D3. Here is my question…besides the Ivy League schools, the academies, and a few ACC and Big 10 schools where would you rather see your child go to school besides schools like Tufts, Amherst, or Williams? I’m sure someone will comment on the Amherst coaching issues so take that out of the equation. I think the D1 argument is short sighted and not thinking about the bigger life picture. |
Georgetown, Lehigh, Villanova, Loyola, all the ACC and B10 just to name a few. Tufts Amherst and Williams and the other woke schools will stop supporting a sport they despise. The support at these schools will fade in the future. |
