Such a typical Saints blow hard dad excuse and deflection. KJ chooses her schedule, particularly her Spring Fling opponents. Langley - "Come on man". As far as the other excuses and deflection, they are garbage. SR, Visi and PMAC all endure the same season and travails. Your self-worth shouldn't be so tied to your daughter's team's success or failure.

News flash! you don’t get better playing on varsity you get better working on your own and training in the off-season! That’s why you’re on JV!

That’s not true at sssas. There is no space on varsity and will be no space next year. Even if there were space KJ doesn’t
sub. Rising sophomores are really screwed. Even if you’re on a top club team how do you get recruited if you’re on JV?

I'm still trying to understand why Potomac had a 4 seed in the VISAA state tournament.

They beat STAB in April, lost to Collegiate and the Saints in an ISL game.

Potomac looked very good yesterday, after falling behind 2-0 early in the first, the Panthers dominated from start to finish.

SR played some top non league schools earlier in the season that SSSA did not.

If the girls are so mentally and physically exhausted why not clear some of the bench? There are numerous players committed to D1 programs who didn’t step foot on the field this year.

Strictly politics. KJ and STAB coach and their athletic offices manipulated the seedings to what they thought was in their best interest.

Leave and go to a school that will play your kid as a starter. Even if the school isn’t as good your kid will get to play against top teams, will get a chance at contributing and getting recognized for it which helps with recruiting. Will also have a chance at team honors like All ISL or WCAC or Met or whatever. Builds your kids lax resume. You will have no chance at getting better on JV playing rec level lacrosse. And when you leave get an actual commitment from the coach.

If you’re on a top club your kid won’t be prepared for summer tournaments practicing and playing with JV. Your kids teammates playing (not riding the bench) varsity at other schools, even less competitive ones, will outshine them because they are prepared at school the Spring before.

I didn't see a score for the STAB - Collegiate game from yesterday, was it played?

Also, I believe the finals is played at a neutral location, Randolph Macon (unless things have changed)

I was at the game. That didn’t happen. Potomac boys were fine, and only their own admin person shut them down when they mocked the goalie when she was pulled at the end of the 2nd quarter.

I second this- the Potomac students did bring their A game support wise but nothing crazy. Our saints girls just couldn't control the ball on their side and I think those boys played a big part in that.

Potomac student body fans have a motto: "We only attend away semi-final games!" They were no shows when they hosted a crucial semi-final match last week against SR.

You’ll never see the student body at sssas come out in mass to support girls lacrosse. It doesn’t happen for a variety of reasons.

Good coaching is about knowing when it’s time to readjust and how to readjust. There shouldn’t be anything to lose unless the coach feels that making changes are somehow an admission that they’ve been wrong in their strategy or about the players they’ve chosen, in which case a coach with an ego will stick to their guns and see only what they want to see.
