News flash! you don’t get better playing on varsity you get better working on your own and training in the off-season! That’s why you’re on JV!

Those rankings don't mean a whole lot now and won't next year when they will falter in post season again because of it.

Not quite sure the “fluffy” regular season schedule is what caused their poor performance in the playoffs. These girls are exhausted. The season is very long and when you combine that with preseason, it is a super long season of lacrosse. It is both a mental and physical challenge. After a rough loss against SR in the championship I have no doubt the Saints girls were not just mentally out of it. Don’t really know who else you want them to play as they are required to play everyone in the ISL AA division and most VISSA opponents. I would love to see all you parents that are judging and criticizing their season, go out there and play for 6 months straight.

SR played some top non league schools earlier in the season that SSSA did not.

As previously mentioned, all teams have the ability to emerge victorious or suffer defeat when facing each other. The level of competition within our ISL league is commendable. It is important to acknowledge that any team achieving a national ranking positively impacts our league as a whole. Throughout the season, we were fortunate to witness all four top teams achieve national recognition, greatly benefiting the ISL league.

KJ is a legend. No one denies that. But how she coached 5,10,15,20 years ago the model doesn’t work anymore. So much talent and to have girls sit on bench and never sub is recipe for disaster. All of these teams have so much depth and when something isn’t working you adjust and sub. Any good coach can game plan against this. I know the SSSAS blow hards don’t want to hear it or admit it.

News flash! You need both actually. Training on your own but also playing with and against the best. Teams skills can’t be learned on your own and they are developed along with a little thing called TEAM CHEMISTRY by playing with a group of girls over a period of time. But you know that already because your kid has been playing with the same group of girls for years right?

Great win by Potomac but it was all by their 25 talent literally a generational 30+ year class.

If you think it will be SSSAS struggling next year and not Potomac you’re on crack.

KJ needs to utilize more of her talent and not give up phases of the game like draw and redefends and transitions.

The shot clock probably helped SSSAS’s offense this season as it forced them to be more efficient.

Stone Ridge loses 10 25s but they’re still stacked, Potomac loses the majority of their talent, Visi loses a strong 25 class but still has possibly the best 26 in the country. SSSAS loses 1 locked in starter and another D1 commit.

Stone Ridge still on the top of the ISL heap, but SSSAS should be the favorite in Virginia.

Be patient. After next year 3/4 of the team will be gone. There are no freshman currently on varsity and there is only one current sophomore who had any starting playing time. The team might not be very good but there will be space.

So SSSA will be better than Potomac. That’s not something they are used to hearing.

Not disputing the number of seniors Potomac will lose, but they have an incredible ‘26 class and several very strong freshmen who start, as well as the ‘27 who transferred from SSSAS last fall. They’ll miss the class of 25, but they have a good pipeline.

Is the Visi coach staying after this season? He has done a great job with the team.

1 win in 30 years you better make it count Saturday, Monday, Tuesday or whenever you actually play…

Next 2 years the clocks will definitely be running nonstop in the 4th quarter when SSSAS & Potomac play.

Ha!

PMACs JV lost to SSSSAS’s JV 14-3 and that’s where the SSSAS transfer would have been playing. No hate and she got a good laugh in today but it was all PMACs 2025s the only class that they have stronger than SSSAS.

With that said questions got to be asked of KJ if she got a deeper team and lost…

That’s impossible. This august body was guaranteeing that the shot clock was going to kill Saints! Maybe she actually does know what she’s doing after all?

Agree - letting a team get easy clears, not bringing in fresh legs, and face guarding after the kid you are face guarding already did 5-7 goal’s worth of damage is why you go without a chip for 4 years when you have an abundance of talent.
