For 2022, here is a quick rundown of what is available, I know a lot about the Maryland side, cannot attest to the virginia side of things.

MC Elite probably will not add a team. The Midnight team has largely been together since the girls were 6. Very few adds, mostly subtractions. It is a tight group that is very good.

Heros has 2 very good teams, both the Green "A" and White "B" teams are strong with good talent. I agree with the previous poster about the toxic coaches, mostly on the Green team where they took less talented people that had parents that are friends with the coaches families over more deserving people. The WHite team has a fantastic coach, who is the Varsity coach at Glenelg Country School and does phenomenal with whata ever talent she has.

Rebels, Buyer beware. They can hardly field a 2022 team. They let go the 2 coaches that were a part of this team for the past 2 years, not a real big loss. Coach Haight is a person that you cannot question, or he will remove your daughter. Some age groups are great with solid coaches, 2022 is not this.

M&D, cream of the crop if you can make their Black "A" team. Red "B" is very solid, but suffers from second child syndrome. Many of the girls here think they should be "A" team players, but are cusp players. Coaches at the Red level are not as solid.

Stars out of Virginia has 2 teams at 2022. The Blue "A" team field many players from the Bethesda and Potomac area. They are very strong, and easily the top team in Virginia. Their White "B" team is not nearly as strong and has a vast difference in talent. Solid coaching.

"A" Almost "A" "B" "C"
M&D Black M&D Red Stars White MC Select
Heros Green Heros White Rebels
Stars Blue
MC Elite Midnight

Our DD has played for some of these teams, most have good girls to play with, and will challenge them to get better.

Any feedback on Pride or Stars rising 6th grader teams?

If your daughter is a serious lacrosse player and wants to continue this as her sport, Stars is the way to go.

If she wants to play and have the experience, Pride, Va Metro or Cardinal will all do just fine.

Do each of the clubs mentioned have "pathways" to v retain high schools? Or is it more "these rec programs are close se to this club team"? Do the girls continue to play rec lax in the spring in 6th?

No. Any solid club experience at the younger grades is fine;there will be time by HS to try to pursue the most elite teams.

How are tryouts going for club teams?

Huge tryouts for Pride. They will give Stars a run for the money for best girls' club in Nova. DD tried out for both and has played for both.

I assume you're 2023. What is going on with this grade? I have DDs in other grades that don't have turnouts like this. With that being said, having also seen players from both, Stars has much more talent at the top level. Mid and bottom are probably comparable. But the top is just bigger on Stars...from what I saw.

Great Capital tryouts under the helm of Eva Shea. The best we've been involved in at Capital.
