| These imbeciles don’t prosecute shoplifters and then whine when retailers pull out. They defund the police and then whine when crime spikes in the poorest neighborhoods. They cater to homeless tent encampments and ignore taxpayers. The unbridled idiocy of these Soros funded progressives is jaw dropping. |
It’s just things. Prosecuting these victimless crimes serves no societal good. It only serves to break up families (I thought republicans were pro-family values) and then creates at risk youth. In effect we should decriminalize these actions so as not to affect the futures of the people caught up in it. I’m not saying turn a blind eye, but rather create jobs and intervention programs that offer a path to dignity, a solid paycheck (coupled with UBI), and reinvest in communities that our society has neglected. |
Do they have a name for this mental disease in the medical books yet? This is Twilight Zone stuff here. |
| You are indeed saying turn a blind eye when you claim that these are victimless crimes. |
What about the security guard who was just murdered during one of these looting sprees? |
It's not victimless. It harms the businesses. There DO still need to be consequences. Being poor does not excuse stealing. I myself lived out of my car for a while, but even then I didn't just take things that weren't mine. I think people can make mistakes in life, we all do. I believe if there are extenuating circumstances it could merit some potential forgiveness with restorative justice (like providing an amount of labor to the store that was robbed equivalent to the cost of the goods stolen plus the inconvenience caused to the business) - for the first time or two. But after that, one should not be allowed to keep stealing again and again. |
It was planned and organized. Everyone involved should be considered an accessory to the murder. |
+1 This wackjob has posted before. It's kind of entertaining - and definitely enlightening. See the liberal brain "at work" in real time. |
Let's just hope this poster is not a prosecutor or anywhere near the criminal justice system. We have enough wackadoodles there to weed out. |
| They should just rename these thefts “Democratic Equity and Inclusion activities.” |

Not sure how to embed this but it’s absolutely hilarious.
“Here we have a looter that has bitten off a bit more than he can chew. The other looters move in... ” https://streamable.com/4hwjqe |
| Walnut Creek (a very nice area, with houses ranging from $1M to $3M) has just announced a curfew to try to stem the looting. |
Does anyone really think the gang is going to fear being out during curfew? Easier for them. No people in the malls. |
| I'm still waiting for someone to show specific council ordnances, orders etc telling police and prosecutors to stand down and not bother with people stealing thousands of dollars of merch. |
There are quotes from DAs saying they don’t want to prosecute shoplifting anymore, if that’s what you’re looking for. I’m not sure if anyone is telling them that. I think it’s what they run on, because they know their democratic base likes it. The SF prosecutor Chesa is being recalled for this. |
