Has a hard time believing the story, cites a RWNJ as “evidence.” You are Tucker Carlsoning this and it’s as bad a look for you as it is for him. |
You are so naive. |
| Of course the forced birthers are pretending this didn’t happen. They don’t want to admit they support child rape. |
|
It's super weird that people don't realize girls are getting their periods earlier, before they are ready, and there are juvenile and adult males eager and ready to take advantage of them.

I worked in the foster care system 20 years ago and this type of thing was not uncommon back then, even. I don’t remember a pregnant ten year old but we had numerous pregnant 11 and 12 year olds and older. Sometimes the father was a relative, sometimes it was another minor. It is so wild to me that people are trying to explain away this story. I’m sure that it happened and I also know there are many, many more children in this position. |
A stage age for black and brown girls to start their periods is NINE! |
Should have said average age. |
| Cannot be verified by WaPo fact checkers. Can't be verified by anyone. |
What would that verification look like if the other person involved were also a minor? Where would you find the names, the report, whatever? This happens at least once a year where I work as a mandated reporter, sometimes two or three times -- pregnant preteens. It's awful. You know what Child Protective Services says when I call to update them, e.g., when the pregnant preteen misses a medical visit and there is concern for medical neglect by her caregivers? "Of course, we cannot confirm whether there is an open file on this case, but we can take down the information." And I never hear what happens with the case, either. Of course we cannot confirm. |
You can confirm that an event happened without releasing a name. The doctor went public with it right? This reminds me of all the stories during the pandemic which also could not be verified. All the crying nurses, etc. |
| What options does a pregnant 10 year old have in Ohio, and other states that ban abortion with no exceptions for rape? |

No, you cannot. Not as a govenment agency. There are special restrictions on potential identifiers such as age (at any given time, "pregnant" + "specific very young age" in "specific area" is going to be a likely unique identifier). Private citizens are bound by fear of being sued, but public employees have specific presumptive restrictions. Test it. Call up your local CPS unit -- for DC, it's CFSA at https://cfsa.dc.gov/service/report-child-abuse-and-neglect . Ask if they can confirm or deny that, say, there is a pregnant 11 year old. Just do it. I'd bet a paycheck that you do not get a straight yes or no. Put your money where your mouth it. Test that assumption you are so fond of. See if it holds. |
