What would that verification look like if the other person involved were also a minor? Where would you find the names, the report, whatever?

This happens at least once a year where I work as a mandated reporter, sometimes two or three times -- pregnant preteens. It's awful. You know what Child Protective Services says when I call to update them, e.g., when the pregnant preteen misses a medical visit and there is concern for medical neglect by her caregivers? "Of course, we cannot confirm whether there is an open file on this case, but we can take down the information." And I never hear what happens with the case, either.

You can confirm that an event happened without releasing a name. The doctor went public with it right?

This reminds me of all the stories during the pandemic which also could not be verified. All the crying nurses, etc.[/quote]
