How many lives have Trumps lies cost us? Biden has so much catching up to do! |
More proof that most of the people who frequent this board are totally unable to be critical of Biden. Always a response with.... "but Trump......" Most of the American people care, though. You may not. But, most do. |
I do care. I care very much about the service men and women sent to fight a pointless and unwinable war for 20 years. I care that Biden had the courage to put an end to it, and held to America’s word. Just like he rejoined the Paris accord. We keep our word. |
Problem is…..Biden doesn’t keep his word. |
PP just gave you two examples of him doing so. |
| Re the Cotton clip, I though Cotton came across surprisingly mature and respectful in his exchange with the General. He did not argue back or grandstand afterwards... |
He is obviously not good at this . . . and he knows it. |
Cotton made his points. Milley needs to go. |
The military leaders were there for 20 years and this is the result, so yes, they are wrong about staying. This whole thing is their failure more than anyone else’s. And the CIA’s failure. Did they think we could continue to prop up a corrupt incompetent government and bribe tribal leaders forever? |
Biden voted to go in back in 2001 and then presided while folks died. Before the exit debacle, it had been years without deaths. If we had managed our exit better, far less damage would have been done. By your measure, all Biden had to do was show up for the “test” (the exit) to get credit. By mine, he actually had to put something down on the exam (a well managed withdrawal). It is such a bogus chock full of low expectations argument to say it’s just about the courage to leave when that chucklehead Trump already had us headed towards the door. |

I don't understand why Biden would lie about the advice he received. Sure, he could be trying to shift blame, but he is President, and in many respects it doesn't matter what they recommended to him. He made the decision. Everyone knows what he decided. And we all saw what happened.
I feel more like he just didn't remember how he got into that position, and didn't know what to say. |
| Military leaders lied about Afghanistan for 20 years. They never tell the truth about their failures. |
Tom “Slavery Was Pretty Great” Cotton doesn’t make any point. |
So, when it comes to what happened with the advice... it is one of two things. Either he outright lied to the American people saying that none of his advisors told him to leave a residual force or, he truly cannot recall them telling him this. Either one is bad. He either didn't want to take responsibility once he saw it was such a debacle, or he couldn't remember the decision making. Both are concerning. |
