The top 4 are the top 4. Until last night Potomac and SSSAS were the presumed top seeds with home field advantage in the semis. Visi’s win, combined with a win against Potomac on Friday, would give Visi home field advantage in the semis along with SSSSS. Any one of the top 4 teams would be a tough matchup in the semis depending on who shows up that day, so home field advantage is key. The Friday Visi vs Potomac game will be a must win for both teams, and probably very high energy.

Are we certain there's a tie break in the ISL, or is it a coin flip for seeding in the event of a tie? I feel like it might have been a coin flip a few years ago but I'm old and forgetful now.

Also, for the WCAC readers.....to be clear, I did not have my hands in my pockets during the National Anthem before writing this post.

Flame on!

I think we will end up with two teams with one loss, and two teams with two losses. It definitely matters to be a 1 or 2 seed, rather than a 3 or 4 for home field advantage. But I'm not sure it matters to be 1 or 2, or 3 or 4. I suppose each team could have a preferred matchup, but there will be no easy opponents to face in the semis.

Home game at Visi is a big deal. The size of their field is “unique” and I think they have trouble playing on the full size fields.

Go ahead and shoot me down DCUM! I can take it.

Code for: SJC is a lot better than we thought they were.

This gives SJC a huge tailwind going into the post season. HF is a legit coach and she stared down her haters tonight - in a debut match v GC with inherited talent. WCAC playoffs are gonna be awesome.

Well he was not there. He’s very sick.

It was also senior night so some senior night lineups were out there.

ok, just stop with the senior night BS excuse. OLGC has 12 seniors listed on the roster; 10 of the 12 were club players, and 9 of those 12 are committed to play in college. 7 are going D1 they have 1 going D2 and one D3... 1 of the senior commits is injured and did not play.

This is not just for GC but for all HS teams. Just because players play club does not mean they are good. A lot of club players can’t catch or throw cause they play on b level teams. Or an “A” team that isn’t even in the top 100.

This is the dumbest post ever. Def a SR or SSS A(SS) parent.

Ok did you say that to yourself first? No? Maybe you should have. Do you really want any of us to believe that GC would have a club player who can’t catch or throw seriously. MH has been known to cut club players from his own club teams because they couldn’t hack that level of play…

So, defi a VISI parent, how long and wide is your field? Anyone else want to guess?

Playing half your games on a considerably smaller field than a football one changes how you play. It makes the ride easier and doesn't require the same amount of stamina. And since your star middies like to play attack only when they get tired, playing on a 120-yard field, like Notre Dame plays on, puts you at a disadvantage. If you haven't considered that ever, you are ignorant.

The person is not ignorant.

You are really condescending. Any visi parent understands that the visi field is smaller.

Visi seemed to do well last year against both sssa and sr on their fields. (Wins) And this is the case every year. It isn’t something new and so you are showing your idiocy by stating the obvious. The girls are conditioned.

Thanks for your concern.

Exactly my point. Girls can play club but that doesn’t mean they are any good. So saying a HS team is made up of club players doesn’t make that team great. MH’s Rebels skills overall aren’t even close to a M&D Black/Cap Blue/Heros Green. Such different level of players. All club. That’s all.

At GC girls that play club and who according to you may not be any good get cut they don’t get the chance to see the field on senior day…

I think it will be a SJC GC Final. The game last night could have gone either way. Refs didn't call a lot of slashing calls.

Every senior that was physically able to play (2 are injured) started except 1 of the 2 goalies, because only 1 could be in.

YOU CAN'T BASE A HS TEAM'S TALENT ON NUMBER OF CLUB PLAYERS!!! That was the only point. Good Grief! You definitely have an ax to grind! My comment was simply refuting that just because girls play club doesn't mean they are highly skilled players and thus the HS teams they play for must be better than others with less club players.
