Yup, get er done. Time to drop the narrow interest stuff and procedural reaches. If this ends with the reconcilliation bill reducing the deficit that'll be even better. Now the Republicans will be threatening default in order to prevent reducing the deficit, lol |
Economic progress? A free handout you mean. Meanwhile there's threads on the real estate forum snearing at the homeless because they'd dare appear in your eyesight while you enjoy a mall or a park. Please. Prices are rising for the poorest in the aisles of the grocery stores nationwide because of these handouts. Enough. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/0/1004354.page |
Oh are you in favor of getting rid of the carried interest loophole? How about Medicare? |
I'm in favor of keeping the programs as they are, shorting up support for things like Social Security and the ACA, and moving on. No wishlist items of half a dozen new programs the progressives threw in like we wouldn't notice they ballooned the cost of the programs by $2 Trillion. |
Lol sure

I'd prefer to see the $3.5T package reduce proportionally down to the final number (whether that's $1.5T per Manchin's demand or some slightly higher number).
If anything, zero out the old age home-based care for Boomers and use that savings to add a bit more to green tech infrastructure which will pay much bigger dividends down the road. IMHO, Congress will at some point need to deal with the aging Boomer population. But it doesn't need to happen now. And I'd rather see Republicans do some heavy lifting on it since it's going to be aging Red states that will disproportionately suck up that money. Zero it out! |
His position is - he came up from $0 to $1.5 Trillion and Schumer agreed. He's not going any higher. As the New Democrat Coalition stated - 'Time to start dicing and slicing' |
Why are you in favor of the radical socialist programs like social security, Medicare and the ACA? |
You mean the ones that already exist and are currently so low on funds that they may not be solvent? |
Yes, those. Why are you in favor of those? |
