Kevin Costner divorce

It burned into her DNA.

Eh. Never say never. Rupert Murdoch is available again.

His children will drive her off. Jerry Hall was reportedly heard blaming them for the demise of her marriage.

God forbid a declining old man's flesh and blood keep a money-grubbing succubus away from their rich father...

I have a friend from a wealthy family (over $100M range) whose parents had a similar acrimonious divorce with his mom getting very little dude to a prenup. All that is going to happen with Christine is the same thing that happened with my friend and his mom which is that she is going to spend years guilting her children into paying her bills. But hurray for Kevin.

I'd have a little more sympathy for this sob story if there was some big reason for the divorce like cheating. Why leave now? Kids deserved an intact family unless there's something egregious happening. She could have stuck it out a few more years for their sake. She just got tired of Kevin and he should pay up? Nah.

How would you know cheating isn’t part of it? It was part of his first marriage so wouldn’t exactly be shocking. Sticking it out a few more years also wouldn’t have done anything though because it doesn’t change the prenup terms.

So it sounds like she’s getting what is outlined in the prenup, plus $60k/mo. that the judge already ordered for CS until the kids age out. She’s getting peanuts from a guy worth $400+ million, after giving him the best part of her life and three beautiful kids.

He’s a prick of the highest order. I hope his Horizon films sink like a stone at the box office.

Every woman on the planet agrees with you.

Nope, don’t speak for me. I have no issues with Kevin.

+1 same. The prenup should have been enforced. Team Kevin.

Agree the prenup should be enforced. Nonetheless, the small amount of the prenup for a "gentleman" worth 400 million dollars is a perfect example of his cheapness and low regard for a woman he professed to love.

She was stealing from him! She bought herself and her parents expensive cars months before she filed.

Baumgartner was allegedly using the household staff’s credit cards, provided by Costner, to take out cash advances and purchase items for her use. She reportedly paid her divorce lawyer, Susan Wiesner, “on the credit card of an employee which is traditionally used for Costner family house charges and paid by [Kevin].” He also claims she spent $25,000 on a criminal defense attorney from his personal property fund

Christine "has shown a disturbing propensity in the last several months, both before and after separation, to take Respondent’s property without his knowledge or consent, especially since this case was filed."

Criminal defense attorney? What was THAT about? $25K ain't for a speeding ticket.

Sticking it out for the kids means it benefits THEM to have two parents in the household. But she wasn't looking out for them, she wanted to fleece Kevin before they turned 18.

She had no evidence of cheating, just tried to make it look like he did by asking that question. Super shady. She got what she deserved.

Notice the frequency of the term "his" money, "his" property, etc. I bet he was something else to live with...controlling and cheap.

And a cheater to boot. I'm sure she got accustomed to that lifestyle, but she's so much better off without him.

Stealing from him for buying a car? What? Using credit cards? They were married. God I cannot imagine being told I was stealing because I bought a car. Ridiculous. Also ridiculous that I would have to sneak around and use a house credit car because I had no money after 20 years!! Hell no!!

No these weee fake stories team Kevin panted. The family friend was a trip planned before divorce with a group of friends with kids who are friends. Kevin had planned to be on the trip but had bailed. The guest house rental guy came out and said he had zero relationship with Christine. Meanwhile crazy that Kevin rents houses on his property when he is worth 400 million!!

+1 The degree of his control over "his" (not "their") finances is mind-boggling.

Did she have a lawyer review her prenup before she signed I wonder?

Seems a bit telling of what a cheap controlling jerk he was. She was young and blinded by celebrity.

At least she has 3 beautiful children. Although I thought it was gross that her lawyer said, luxurious living was in their dna.

Weird that he gave someone he had no relationship with 20k.
