Kevin Costner divorce

raise the kids in comfort. I think it is crazy she doesn’t at least get the appreciation on properties that she has lived in. He seems controlling-sad that after 20 years of marriage she has almost nothing to show for it.

I don't know anything about this divorce, but I agree that after a certain point the prenup should be nullified. Some healthy, young, childless woman has no idea what's ahead of her once she marries and has children. You just can't predict how to handle special needs children, health issues, quitting working to support the higher earner's career, who manages the bulk of household stuff, etc. until you experience it.

His house will always “out weigh” hers. The kids are the ones who always get hurt. But his kids with her are 15, 14, and 13. They could chose to live with him.

And vice Vera’s, he’s entitled to half her earnings and property.

Nope.

Only and idiot or someone born in 1960woukd agree to that BS.

It’s actually very fair and works both ways.

No matter how you slice it, he comes across as scum. Dated an eighteen year old, married her, three children later and he wanted to dump her first. It's not a good look and while I agree with the "she should have had an income" not many women in her position, especially Hollywood, are anything other than arm candy and SAHP. The one millions dollars, I'm sorry to say she was too trusting and not smart enough to renegotiate it early in their marriage. At any rate, he keeps this up, no one will go to see his films. I think the success of his last whatever has gone to his head and I believe he better tread lightly. It's not like it would kill him (net worth over 250 million, not buying the bs court filing) he can well afford to make her go away while protecting his and her relationship with the children. Buy her a suitable house, give her a cash settlement and be done.

This. I think he should give her $20m (so ~5% of his estate) and be done. 18 year marriage and 3 kids. A 5% hit after 18 years is nothing. He'd still be loaded and she could live comfortably and finish raising the kids. He has so much money and earning potential that his position just makes him seem like a jerk.

She is showing her true colors. She was always a scheming and conniving gold digger. She's never had a real job. Now she's scheming to get tens of millions of dollars from him because she popped out a couple kids. Trash.

3 kids and she's been with him for 25 years. How does that equal a scheming and conniving gold digger? She must have really been playing the long con (which she apparently devised in her early 20s)

They won’t.

Long con? She was married to a handsome filthy rich A-lister and got to live like a queen in a $150,000,000 Malibu estate. Stop acting like she "sacrificed". She hit the lottery. She was a dime a dozen nobody when they met. So she popped out a few kids, who cares. That's worth $50M or something after she signed a pre-nup? Give me a break.

She was 30. They married 19 years ago. She's about to turn 50.
