Newsflash CPS will ask if the adolescent child has its own room / own bed. An adult sleeping with an opposite sex adolescent or prepubescent and notably Op hasn't advised us whether the daughter is in puberty or how developed she is a huge red flag for child abuse. 12 year olds should be sleeping in their own beds not with an opposite sex parent. Anyone saying otherwise is probably a.child molester themselves or an enabler for a molester.

That's concerning. It COULD be innocent, but it's strange as hell. After my divorce, my daughter and I slept in the same room (separate beds) until her fifth birthday.I told her that she was becoming a young lady and should have her own room away from a "smelly old man." I slept on the pull out couch for a few years until I switched jobs and could afford a two bedroom.

Oh please, when I didn't feel well my Dad would sleep with me in my room. My husband does the same. Nothing sexual.
