Agree. Trump’s poll numbers are slipping. And the economic fallout is becoming g apparent. They’ll likely have a deal in a couple of days to avoid another missed paycheck. I’m not trying to be ugly (truly) but Trump supporters in general aren’t very bright. It will be easy for Trump to convince them he won. |
Hallelujah! He will never dare let them go without Food Stamps, or his rich buddies lose money because of the shut down! (Well, all this is pointless as he is under orders,imo....)And yes, they have short term memory issues, heck any kind of memory. They think democrats caused this shutdown!? |
My fed spouse says they have to get a deal by Tuesday of next week to avoid missing another paycheck. Trump is digging in. He's volatile, but I have a feeling he's still not going to budge for a while. |
I think Wednesday might be enough time to run payroll, maybe even Thursday. They can expedite the process in extraordinary circumstances. Or send paychecks one day late. |
Follow the impact on Trump's voters. That's the answer to the end of this thing. It's all Trump cares about. The minute the impact hits his voter base the minute the shutdown end. |
State Dept told people to get back to work next week with pay. Saying it found a way to move funds around... but no back pay till the situation is resolved.

Probably not “the minute.” More like a few weeks. |
Not happening by next Tuesday. It’ll probably be at least two more months. |
Yeah, no. |
More like April. |
A lot longer than that, actually. People: there. Is. No. End. In. Sight. |
More like 2 years. |
I think it will be over in the next couple of weeks. |
The Senate’s top priority today instead of voting to reopen the government: voting on a bill to eliminate ACA subsidies for any health plan that covers reproductive services. |
I think they only have funding for one pay period. After, everyone essential will be working without pay again. The guidance was very unclear. No one has really been talking about State, which is a little weird given all the BENGHAZI cries. |
