My fed spouse says they have to get a deal by Tuesday of next week to avoid missing another paycheck. Trump is digging in. He's volatile, but I have a feeling he's still not going to budge for a while.

I think Wednesday might be enough time to run payroll, maybe even Thursday. They can expedite the process in extraordinary circumstances. Or send paychecks one day late.

State Dept told people to get back to work next week with pay. Saying it found a way to move funds around... but no back pay till the situation is resolved.

I think they only have funding for one pay period. After, everyone essential will be working without pay again. The guidance was very unclear.

No one has really been talking about State, which is a little weird given all the BENGHAZI cries.
