How long will the shutdown last?

I had no hope for this week anyway. I suspect we are out at least through the state of the union.

Oh, but they did. So another prediction that failed.

Fat lot of good it did him.

“A new poll showed that only 2 percent of voters changed their mind about building a wall across the Mexican border after watching President Trump’s Oval Office address last week.”

My furloughed spouse was just talking to some furloughed colleagues. They don't think the government will reopen until February. Sad.

Did 2% of voters even watch that address? I thought the ratings were terrible.

Colleague of mine conservatively is expecting it to last through February and opening in March when budget ceiling votes take place. We are both excepted employees SMH.

Late February

I thought it would break soon.

Now I think it will go to March. Or whenever Mueller's report comes out, whichever comes first.

I wonder if DHS, Treasury, State have briefed the President on what might happen if federal workers and contractors miss mortgage, rent and loan payments Their credit rating will be lowered and they risk losing their security clearances. I also wonder how long they expect federal prison guards to risk their lives every day for no pay - the number of attacks on prison guards has increased since the shutdown

No I think it will break soon. End of next week.

Lol Mulvaney doesn't care about any of that. Neither does Coulter.

I think the economic fallout is something moderates from both parties cannot stomach. I think they will write something that says “portions of border wall” or somesuch and bring it to vote. The president needs a way out. If it has the word “wall” in it, he will take it.

Trump to care if people miss mortgage payments?! Well, now I heard it all. Could be his handler thinks he is about to be exposed and is using these last throes the best he can?
