Lock him up. Reject any BS “mental health” excuse.

I rather see a judge and warden than go to the morgue!

Why isn’t Sharpton speaking up about the ramped up crime? Lives matter.

Sharpton was on stage at neeley's funeral.

The only thing he spoke out about was all if the merchandise at Duane Reade was locked up.

It's either you lock them up or the merchandise. They won. Now we can't shop freely.

Sharpton is NYC’s #1 racist. They love him there.

Has anyone seen any updates on this? I thought there was supposed to be a court date of some sort on July 17, but I can't find any information about what happened.

He pleaded not guilty on June 28 and his next court appearance is October 25.

Sharpton’s quote reminds us what a racist he is.

Anyone know if Petty is ‘free’ right now, awaiting the October trial?

60-year old woman was struck with her own cane 50 times on NY metro this morning and no single person stepped in to help. I guess everyone is still watching what is going to happen to Penny's trial.

Can you blame them?

At 3:30 in the morning? I know NY is the city that never sleeps but cmon how many other single people, or Marines, were there at hand who didn't help?

These two incidents are not at all equivalent. First of all, it started as an altercation and happened at 3 in the morning. Someone videoed it, instead of stepping in, likely because of moral turpitude or fear of being beat up him/herself. I doubt they were thinking, "wow, this is jut like that marine who killed a loud dude. I better not intervene."

"Loud dude" is your complete description of the behaviors he was exhibiting?

It’s a possibility. Just because you think it’s doubtful doesn’t mean it’s not true.

I just had a DC metro encounter with an unhinged drunk/mentally ill person and my thoughts immediately went to Penny - as in I could fully understand why someone would have wanted to physically restrain him. This was a BIG man who was pacing and ranting about killing people with his bare hands. I was with my kid and just tried not to move at all. We moved to the next car at the next stop but it felt like a very long time. It was really not fun.
