sorry zumba.

That's only when she logs on. I suspect she posts anonymously as one of the trolls. (No one could be that sweet. Eating chips and dips is a confession???)

I have plenty of other confessions, but I'm not gonna spill it all here. You want dirt? hmmm....okay, I confess I kissed Mario Lopez 13 years ago.

Geeze they are lazy, ungreatful lowlife women, who suck!!!I always wonder why their husbands married them in the first place?
But since I work in the area as a nanny I have to pretend smiling with all of them while they jog or walk their dogs...phew..they have no clue about real life and hardship......I secretly wish they could test poverty VERY SOON

I hear ya sista, but I guess on the bright side, they help keep the economy going. I am happy to work my tail off even if I don't have make tons of money, because my work has purpose, meaning and helps a lot of people. Manicures and Tysons are overrated...they don't equal happiness in my book. Your hard work is contributing something positive to society, even if you don't get to get to shop at Nordstroms (overrated too).

I confess I have no desire to live the shop-all-day-pampered life.
I confess I eat chips and dip at midnight. Soooo bad. But sooo good.

I confess I still cuddle my kids to sleep even though babyhood was a long time ago.

My SD was exactly like that at 10. I invited her to go walking with me several times a week, and it gave us good bonding time while burning calories. She never really took an interest in sports, dance or martial arts, but 5 years later she has thinned out a lot and all my vegetable encouragement has finally paid off.

I'd definitely encourage your SD to enroll in something active...something that she enjoys and wants to do. It doesn't have to be under the pretext of losing weight. Fun is the best motivation!
If I saw it happening it front of me, I would just nicely and encouragingly tell the rude kid, "Come on, let's be fair...don't worry, we will all get a turn if we don't cut in line." Or what 9:53 said. I don't think encouraging the kids to be fair is being a helicopter parent.
I would find another job, and then tell your current boss why you are leaving in a professional way. I wouldn't be afraid to tell her why you are leaving. If it were me, I would definitely give the woman a piece of my mind—in the nicest way possible, of course. I might even give them a parting gift...maybe a framed "I have a dream" speech or a book on race relations.
That sounds strange. I was allowed to be in the NICU whenever I wanted, as soon as I wanted, and for as long as I wanted.

you could use a motorcycle to learn this skill - it's transferable.

Ooh I LOVE motorcycles! Super fun!
I don't know any schools, but driving a stick is fun! I used to work for Road and Track Magazine and I was scared to learn at first, but then you kind of feel like a race car driver once you get the hang of it. I know many people who think automatic is a bore...but they are usually auto-crazy people. It is more fun to drive long stretches than in a city though.
OMG! I wouldn't let a 4 year old tell me to shut up! I'd tell him/her exactly what I thought of the comment, and to go ask his mom if he can play with the rocks, and that DC can play with the rocks if he/she so chooses.
If you have any professional womens' clothing, Sport & Health is taking donations for homeless women trying to get back into the workforce. Gently used/new clothes, shoes, make up, jewelry, purses, anything to look nice on a job interview....you can drop off at any Sport & Health this month.
I remember that day. Mine was only 8 weeks, and I had to go back to work. It was soooo tough and I felt exactly like you. Is there anyway you can get to the daycare at lunchtime?
ooh i love kayaking. Awesome workout.
I know PLENTY of laid back moms, even in Arlington. In fact, I don't think I know a Type A mom. Maybe I just don't notice them or don't realize the are.

OP, I used to live in Cali and do miss the laid back life by the beach there. But I also noticed tons of plastic surgery, bleach, and snobbery as well. I think you'll find all types of moms where ever you are.

I'm a super laid back mom. I'm relaxed and in good spirits 98% of the time. I don't care how much $ you have or what you drive or what your legs look like with shorts on, as long you are nice, I'll talk to you!
