Yes, the new XC90 comes standard with a new, larger 11.2-inch touchscreen display and features higher resolution. It runs a new generation user interface, similar to that in the all-new EX90 and EX30 models. To further streamline your connected drive, Apple CarPlay is also standard

Is this an AI response? If so, please stop posting AI answers. If you don't have your own response, skip the thread. Whether AI-generated or not, this answer is wrong. The Volvo has wired, not wireless CarPlay.

OP, we have a Polestar which is in the same situation. For playing music, we can connect our phones by Bluetooth and are able to use the car's controls to play the music on our phones. This seems pretty close to CarPlay and I assume the same will be true for podcasts. Depending on how much you will miss the other apps from your phone, that may be enough for you.

You can also get an adapter to enable wireless CarPlay, though at least on the Polestar, those don't work perfectly.

I just love this site so much and want to contribute.

Jeff - if there's something I can help out with, lmk and I'll email you directly on the list serve. If not, no worries at all. Just wanted to offer

I really appreciate your offer to help. I'll try to think of something that fits your skillset. If you know my email address, feel free to email me your contact info.

People's IP address change so this would have limitations. That poster should have reported the imposter to me and I would have dealt with them.
For the most part we have everything under control but there are always areas for improvement. Can you program in Java?
Two things I suggest are:

1) create a username and login to post; and
2) post messages like this in Website Feedback.

Because this thread has nothing to do with General Parenting, I am going to lock it.

That was the topic of my blog post yesterday:

If this is the case, doesn't that sort of undermine the whole "Trump and the GOP are the party for the Jews" thing?

I would have thought that argument had been undermined some time ago.

I found an article that I think people on DCUM will find interesting. Should I "copy and paste" the article into a message in the forums?

Only if the author of the article explicitly allows distribution of his intellectual property in that manner. DCUM respects intellectual property rights and will delete articles that appear to have been posted in violation of copyright laws. The appropriate means of bringing article to DCUM readers' attention is to post a brief summary or excerpt and a link to the original source.

Just curious, but how is posting an article in full so it can then be discussed on a DCUM thread a violation of copyright law? Assuming no one here is posting claiming it is their own… Can’t imagine that would happen as the poster would be identifying themselves.

Posting an article to discuss would seem to be clear ‘criticism and commentary’ which is not a copyright violation. Has DCUM received DMCA take down notices for articles?

We have never received a DMCA take down notice, probably because we proactively remove obvious copyright violations. "Criticism and commentary" is a factor that weighs in favor of fair use, but does not provide for complete copyright relief. The amount of the copyrighted work used is another factor. The more of a work that is used, the more likely that the commercial damage is to outweigh the necessity of the need.

In other words, If someone says, "I can't read the article because of the paywall, can you post it's text" and another poster complies, there is an obvious commercial factor that weighs against fair use. If use of the work is necessary for legitimate criticism and commentary, that can likely be done with limited use of the material. The line delineating fair use is almost always gray and, like the previous poster suggests, I don't have an interest in hashing such things out in court. I'd rather just have a fairly simple rule that everyone can follow.

I suspect this is because it must be at or near the top of page 1 of Google for certain keywords. If the thread of locked, presumably they believe it will fade from page 1 of Google on those keywords.

My 2 cents.

The thread is certainly driving me batshit. I removed a bunch of posts today but generally I am taking a hands-off approach to the thread. I think both sides are a little crazy. If a bunch of people want to spend all day calling each other bots and paid agents, who am I to stop them?
