How much weight have you gained from 1 year ago?

Constant supervision of the kids and running the household has put taking care of myself in the rearview mirror. I don’t work out nearly as much and eating a lot more sweets and drinking more alcohol. I’m up 12 pounds from a year ago.

Once I gain about 4-5lbs I start cutting back. No eating after dinner and I stopped drinking in January. You really have to stop yourself before you get to 10lbs or you'll go into panic mode. I notice when my pants get tight and then I weigh to confirm. I never weigh myself otherwise. I'm slender, but I look terrible with added weight as it goes to my stomach and not my butt. So I have to maintain. I also try to remember to ask myself if what I'm putting into my body is nourishing me. I 100% think that chocolate cake can be nourishing if I want it, and I will actually enjoy it. But other times it makes me realize I'm eating or drinking because I'm stressed or bored.

Twice over this past year I've had to check myself. 12lbs isn't much, I'm sure once you get some time to yourself you can lose it.

Same. Sigh. Pandemic stress and access to the fridge have not been good for me.

The bread baking frenzy only lasted a few months.

Down ~10 lbs now.

I'm up 3, and I feel pretty good about that.

In 2018, I lost 50 pounds...and kept it off until the pandemic, and have not gained much during the pandemic, despite all the stress, less exercise, and everything else.

That's amazing! Sounds like you're doing great.

I haven't gone any, but I desperately need to lose some and haven't done that, either.

I’m down a couple of pounds due to grief.

I've been doing fine, even through the holidays, until the last 2 weeks. I think it's just this cold weather and boredom starting to weigh me down.

I don't drink, which helps, but I've just been craving carbs and sugar and I'm still exercising, though not taking as many walks because of the ice.

I’m down 8-10lb and 1 jeans size. I took up running last March to get out of the house / away from my family.

From March to December, I gained about 12 lbs and was not happy with myself. I made a plan and started prioritizing my own health and exercise and in two months, I've lost about 10 lbs and will keep going. I really had to shift from caretaker mode (which I still do) to take care of me mode so I could remind myself how to fit it all in each day. I'm very specific about how I "diet" in front of my kids, so it's been a healthy learning curve for all of us.

I let you know when I get in the scale again. It’s upwards of 15, and I was already soft.
