2022-ok
2023-bad 2024-worse |
| But 2022 team has had mainly lay up games in lower bracket or worst teams in higher bracket, no wins or ties against top teams yet this fall. |
OK Pride...show us those 22 commits |
I can’t it’s a secret! A secret to you and to them. |
I guess there is a point to the Pride '22 commit question but it doesn't mean anything, does it? Was the first year the HS team was formed and all of their MS talent went to Capital and the team never won and played in the bottom brackets. That has completely changed now. Pride is playing stronger teams and winning. Capital is going in the opposite direction. |
Of course it means something. It sets the tone as to not just the player talent but also club reputation and recruiting connections. Girls and boys play at certain clubs because they have proven recruiting history. So many trash Madlax but families choose to ignore issues because of the recruiting connections. The same is true for Capital. But for girls, if you want those top connections you play for one of the top MD clubs that consistently place girls in top academic and lacrosse programs. But if they can’t drive to MD or make a team in those programs many will continue to choose Capital versus risking it on Pride or other clubs to take advantage of the CLC recruiting connections. |
That doesn't make any sense. Plenty of other small clubs in the area have already announced commitments. MC Elite has at least 5 including ivy and no one, anywhere has ever accused them of having any kind of monopoly on talent. This isn't come sort of David and Goliath thing where Pride is up against Capital. |
| Give it a rest on the Pride '22 commitments. It's so pointless. It was the first year they ever had a high school team. The girls were enthusiastic, fun players, but clearly girls that were dedicated to play in college may not stay for the club's first ever extended program. It is amazing that the whole team stayed the following year. If you absolutely must compare, use that as the yardstick. If there are any Pride '22 commitments, congratulate them and wish them well. I can't imagine any team has a list of commitments the very first year they start. Come on. |
Pride defenders are acting like this is the first year the 2022 has taken the field when it comes to recruting. THEY HAVE BEEN A TEAM FOR 3 YEARS PEOPLE. Given the new recruting rules, they could get scouted at the same time as Capital 2022 players, Cardinal 2022 players, MC ELITE 2022 players. None of those teams had a headstart in front of college coaches. A bulk of the 2022 Pride girls PLAYED FOR PRIDE FOR YEARS before high school. They just conitnued into high school. The club has had a recruiting coordinator for 3 years and got a new one this past year. Their Director runs a top High School program in the area. There is no excuse. Either it has worked or it has not. Families will need to decide if writng the checks was worth it. All the other 2022 clubs have girls committed. It's not like 2022 Pride is that bad. Hopefully they have placed some girls. If not, that is troubling. |
