Don't think anyone is going to seriously buy the comparison between CLC and Bama/Duke/Yankees. More believable if you pick a sports franchise that was once dominant but got a new Director and Deputy Director then tanked, never to win another significant game again. |
More like Washington Football Team in Dan Snyder era |
ATTN: ANYONE THAT HAS NOT COMMITTED TO CAPITAL LACROSSE CLUB YET Capital Lacrosse Club's entire approach can be accurately summarized by the above post. We are a dynasty, you should feel lucky that we are allowing you exist in our presence, club losses are mounting--it doesn't mean anything anyway, if you are against us you are a nasty hater, can't get recruited--it is the parents and players fault. Personally, I also have a softball player and friends have kids in travel soccer and baseball. None of these come with the bad stories that are constantly coming out of Capital. Wins against competitive teams over the last couple of years are almost nonexistent and recruiting is awful. However, the number of for pay add on services and events continues to grow exponentially, along with pressure to participate in high-priced private lessons given by the directors. If your kid is '25, motivated and wants to play competitive lacrosse AND you would like them to enjoy their high school club experience, DO NOT CONSIDER CAPITAL A GOOD OPTION. |
Agree. There is a great deal of stuff wrong with the club right now. |
| US club lacrosse has the 2022 rankings. Capital is 8 Cardinal is 13. These are the top two DC area clubs |
True and they base the rankings on the standard criteria: what bracket teams play in and wins, losses and scores. Capital is clearly not doing as badly as someone posting wants people to think. |
| Yeah, Cardinal doesn’t get much attention on here. I guess that’s because they haven’t been targeted like CLC by Pride. They’ve also had 2022 commits. |
Come on Capital, the US Club Lacrosse social media account is the property of a girls lacrosse club owner. There is little to no analysis and not credible. If you want to know who is making the list, look at the top teams and the ones down lower(that shouldn't be there) that the team owner is trying to separate themselves from. Both Capital and Cardinal should not even be in the top 20. It would be more accurate just to post your most significant win of the fall tournament season. |
| Just looking at the 2022 and 2023 US Club Lax rankings and Capital is in the top 20 in both years. Looks like Pride is nowhere to be found. Based on this forum though you'd think the opposite were true. |
PP already pointed out that US Club Lax is not a source for real info. Just cherry-picking one: TLC ranked below Capital after giving them a beat down in the last tournament. There is a bunch more on the list that shows how inaccurate it is. How about writing down your tournament record for the fall? Post coaching credentials? Compare recruiting director resume to the other clubs that you constantly bash? |
| What club does US club lax owner run? They do sponsor some boys tournaments. They also rank all the boys teams. Rankings are math. They use tourney machine mostly. It is not perfect but it is the best system out there. Also who cares about the recruiting director’s resume? Only the result that matters and Capital and Cardinal seem to be leading in both |
| haha. There is no way that ranking is credible or they use "math" to make this list. And it is not the best system out there. Pride beat Elite the last two tournaments, and Elite is in the top 20. Capital lost twice to HHH and is ranked above them. It's just dumb, and people should not support it when it helps their team and as much as when it hurts. Giving these people credibility is pathetic. Capital parents shouldn't give it attention just because it makes their teams look better than they are. |

US Club lax has Pride 2022 Black in the top ten.....
.... of teams in Virgiinia. #99 overall. Seems about right as the other 98 likely have a player committed. Must be good rankings. Maybe Katie should give refunds to the 2022's for failing them since she didn't give them for COVID.... |
| Yes, pick on a team of girls who have given 100% effort and represent the very first high school team for Pride. Must make you feel big. |
|
I agree that the rankings mean nothing and I think Pride 2022 is a lot better than the 99th best team. But this thread has been picking on hard working girls from other clubs for weeks. Take your crocodile tears out of here.
If Pride backers and Katie would have spent as much time working with them that they do attacking others on this message board, maybe they would be doing even better. |
