Lots of questions and no answers from the ANC3E meeting last night on vaccinations. To make matters clearer, Mary Cheh had two reps there with different information.
There seems to be little real insight into the plan and simply a vague hope things will magically get better inauguration day. The statement "there will be a new President" was made a dozen times. Somehow DC's woeful vaccination roll out will be solved by President Biden. |
| Where can I find a list of the locations I can get a vaccine? I am a senior without a car and would rather walk to one of the many pharmacies around me rather than bus across town. Is there a link I can follow to find the list. |
If you are in Ward 3 without a vaccination site, I suggest you contact Mary Cheh or the Mayors Office immediately and ask them to solve your transporr. DC runs van services that take medicaid recipients to their appointments, and since the vaccination is meant to be free to all, the expectation that seniors can afford to haul themselves across town is a hidden fee. Please call their offices and ask them to solve thos for youm not placing sites in Ward 3 is placing undue strain and a "tax" on residents. If you are not in Ward 3 then yes you should be able to choose a close enough site - contact your Councilmember for the list. They should be pushing out that info furiously. |

I saw that, too. Why? Are they trying to distribute equal #s of doses across wards? |
Hello, Charles Allen? Do something useful, please. |
+1 For reals. |

| Are the residents in wards 2,3 and 6 less worthy? |
Maryland is a state and not doing better. |
Probably fewer in high risk work or housing. |
They havent distributed the vaccine they have, and are limiting people in the category????? Ipen more sites! This is beyond gross negligence. |
There are a ton of elderly though |
And why are we even assuming? If the pooh-bahs want more people to sign up from other wards, get out and beat the streets. There is vaccine sitting in freezers while they play equity games. |
And freezers don't get covid. -Livid |
