I never liked her with Derek (I liked him with the nurse, though) - I did not think they had chemistry, and there were a super annoying, drama filled couple. Nor any other guy. I liked her with Derek...they need to stop trying to put her in a relationship and just give us career and family focused Meredith. Yes! Cristina had chemistry with both Burke and Owen...I think Owen will end up alone...definitely don’t want him with Teddy. I don’t really know Pompeo outside of GA.

No way to bring Derek back but I agree about Alex. I'm hoping after a chunk of time off he'll be amenable. At least this show runner didn't jump to immediately killing him off. If Shonda had issues with Patrick Dempsey, she should have exiled his character to DC after a divorce. Thus leaving the door open years down the road for a return. But that ship has sailed.

Anyway I like work- and family-focused Meredith so much better. She was so annoying when pining after a boy. Though the one guy she did have great chemistry with--Scott Speedman--what kind of weird red herring was that?

Yes, what was the deal with Scott Speedman? It seemed so obvious he was being set up as a love interest and then nothing.

It seems like the show now has a chance to turn to a more positive vibe. It is hard to be a medical show during COVID, but there has to be a less depressing way forward.

The only characters I really care about anymore are Meredith and Amelia. And Bailey, but she doesn't have an interesting story going on right now. There are no good couples that are interesting. Maggie is happy and fine, but it is just not that compeling. The irish guy has potential. Bring back Christina. Or Alex. But seriously, no more ghosts for the year (or ever).

So glad we’re done with the ghosts! The idea had potential but was sunk by uninspired writing. Much more interested in the Japril reunion coming up.
