It was a nice surprise but further indicates why this show needs to end. If you keep needing to bring back old characters to make the show interesting it really tells you the show in its current form is unsustainable

There’s nothing she could have said that was honest that would not have made it worse. He never should have involved the kids.

Chiming in after last night's ep to say they have *zero* chemistry! Every single couple now is boring, other than Bailey and Ben whom we pretty much never see. Btw what happened to their adopted daughter storyline wth?

I can't believe Ellis returned and even that was boring, because the actress playing Maggie is terrible.

The only thing that could save the next season is bringing back Alex, Izzie, and Addison. Sparks and drama are desperately needed!

I miss Deluca. He was so gorgeous and interesting and had great chemistry with Meredith…before they ruined him with that mental health crap.

They ruin every character or get rid of them. I loved McSteamy. Can Niko get his own spinoff, and without Glasses? That would make me happy.

Meredith is the only character that I've actually liked more and more.

Yeah, I've said this before but she became far more interesting once she began focusing on professional accomplishments instead of men. Her never seeming to have any parenting stress is completely unrealistic, however.
