Grey's Anatomy surprise

It also makes me think a lot about what i'd want for medical decisions given i have small kids as well. what would i do if i thought there was a chance i'd die. Just more to think about than most episodes for me

I think this consideration was actually the crux of the one really off note about the last episode. Meredith says not to intubate her because she doesn't want to take a vent from someone else. WTH?? No mother of three young children (who have already lost their father!) would or should say something like that. It's not even noble, just cruel. It ruined that whole story about her POA.

Agree with PP. A parent of 3 young kids would never give up the fight to live and say "I'll pass on the vent."

So prescient! I'm the OP, and George was another nice little hit of happy.

Sheesh next episode. Long week!

Welp, that was a surprise. I'm surprised, thought his character was generally a plus even if his mooning over M had gotten old.

I like that actor a lot so I hope he finds a good landing spot. He’s incredibly good looking but also has a very natural style about him. Can they find him a good rom com?

Ugh no. Let’s not just parade thru all the dead people. Did her mom show up? That’s the only one that would really make sense since they still have a lot of unpacked baggage. Like Mer is on the verge of giving up and her mom gives her a pep talk about how her kids need her or be the mom that She (Ellis) never could be.

The show has jumped the shark. It’s dead, finito. And Ellen Pompeo hasn’t done any SM around the spring start up so she has given up as well ...

Ugh - my recording stopped as he was running towards his mom. What happened afterwards?

They showed him on the operating table, said he had been down 40 minutes, then called time of death.

Really? They’ve done the mom thing so many times. No more, please!

I for one am happy that Derrick returned even if it is in a dream lol. The first six seasons of Grey were romantic and funny largely due to him and Meredith's chemistry. It's become too dark and none of the other men she has hooked up with hold a candle to him. Yes their relationship had issues but which marriage doesn't. I actually think the story line of him going to work with Obama and wanting to move to DC vs staying in Seattle was a good one. Why should her career take precedence over his?. It is something that they could have worked out if he had stayed on the show. I am actually hoping they find a way to say it was all a dream and he is still alive lol. Thanks for this post, love Greys!.
