A hullucination happens when you are awake right?
She was laying on the floor unconsciouss, to me its a dream.

I mean, they’ve killed Meredith so many times that her hallucinating Derek isn’t really that different from the many times she’s been half-dead and hallucinated various dead people.

Could not handle the last 2min. What the heck. Almost considering not watching anymore.

Terrible terrible production choice imo. We've been down that road too many times.

Also I would not have pegged meredith to get so caught up in covid. That part didn't seem to match.

She's a general surgeon, so it makes zero sense. But at Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital, obstetricians have also done double duty as pediatricians. Such multi-talented doctors!

Looks like Mer will go thru some life-threatening thing again, so presumably she's hallucinating. But he appears to be real, not a dreamy (ha ha) sequence.

How boring. Haven't we seen some variation of this multiple times before? How many times does Meredith have to almost die? How many times do we have to see some dreamy/hallucinatory visions by a Grey's character?

If we're going to go down that path, I'd like an episode that is all McSteamy and Lexi back from the dead!

I think heavenly George is going to make an appearance. The two actors were hanging out on Insta not that long ago.

I actually like this story line even if it is cheesy. Mer's had a hard life - the pull of derek / peace is strong. Obviously she won't let go of her kids but i have pondered what she'd do if she didn't have kids (of course imagining people have the choice to die or not).

It also makes me think a lot about what i'd want for medical decisions given i have small kids as well. what would i do if i thought there was a chance i'd die. Just more to think about than most episodes for me

I’ve heard covid patients say the hallucinations come at night/during sleep.
But it was clear Meredith gets closer to Derick as she gets closer to death. He’s the after life. When she couldn’t reach him, he said it’s because you’re worried about your kids (she working hard to stay alive to be with them - which keeps her from getting to Derick).

It’s turning out to be the most relevant episodes they’ve ever done.
Well done Shonda. Take a bow.

Now that would be nice! I’d like to see Lexi again, too, but George would be a nice surprise. I’m not usually a fan of these storylines, but it’s been a helluva year, so I’m good with these cheesy, joyful reunions.

The writers could make a lot of people happy by writing Derek back into the show fir flashbacks like they do in This Is Us.

Jack (TIU) is in every episode even though he died 23 yrs prior.

Shonda isn’t affiliated with the show anymore. The lead producer/writer is Krista Vernoff who by the way loves Glennon Doyle and shares her story in IG

Really?! Oh no. I tried to like glennon doyle and really liked untamed for the first half, and maybe 2/3 of the way through I.just.couldn't. and got rid of the book.

I guess maybe by the end of the year I won't be sad it might be the last season?!
