How does this get to a tie? Which specific states do you think are likely to flip that would result in an electoral college tie? Otherwise, if we’re going to spin out any lunatic theory, I’m going to assert its all irrelevant because martians could arrive tomorrow and take over the whole planet. |
At this point the Republicans do not view Trump as politically dead. They won’t cross him now because they want his base to remain intact. There is already a lot of talk about Trump 2024. This man will hold his iron grip on the party for a long time. |
People who tweet this have no clue how complex a Presidential transition is. Right now, Biden can't receive the daily briefing, key leaders are quitting or being fired, and the country cannot move on. DT is deliberately sabotaging the success of the nation as it moves on. He's throwing a tantrum with massive consequences. |
You're entirely right. First, the Government under the present control of Trump and his henchmen will never cooperate in a transition to a Democrat, period. To be clear: the Democratic appointees and the Democratic White House staff will never even get hard pass ID cards. Second, the Trump administration is ordering Republican subordinates in flipped states to move the selection of their electors, who are Democratic electors as a result of the general election, to state legislatures that will select Republican electors. This is in progress now in Pennsylvania and Georgia. Third, as soon as a court challenge is ripe for appellate review, Barr (in his capacity as GC to the Trump campaign and personal lawyer for Trump) will file an emergency petition to the Supreme Republican Court, which will come up with some order to the effect that Trump remains President. The system is completely rigged. Trump is absolutely 100% certain to retain power, period, no matter what. |
Ummm...please don’t fall for this treasonous sh*thead saying Trump will flip the election. This is person is profoundly wrong...do not ask morons questions. |
Can you provide more information about the electors? I haven’t seen any articles on this. |
Jared? Is that you? Dream on you F**ker |

Nice fan fiction. |
This was written in September, and it seems like it could now be playing out in front of us:

Google. https://www.fox6now.com/news/2020-election-could-the-electoral-college-switch-for-trump |
If you google a little bit more, you'll see that this is not going to happen. |
Omg stop with the faithless electors thing. It’s not happening. Never has. People floated it when trump one too but they elected him. In Pennsylvania the person who wins the popular vote gets the electors. In other states, they’re not going to flip. You’re all ridiculous. |
I say let them examine every software system, ballot, every registered voter roll. Trying to avoid that makes us look guilty. If they find fraud so be it. If not then great. |
It's not a few crazies in his inner circle. Lindsay Graham, Ted Cruz, and all of Fox outside of the News division are not a "few crazies." Maybe to you, but not to the people that listen to Fox, which is the most popular television network in this country. I related this yesterday, but while driving I landed on WMAL - DC's right wing talk radio. I decided to listen to hear "the other side." Well, the other side was a caller named Doug, who was asking the host what happens when people who think like him, people who think they aren't listened to or acknowledged, who are sick and tired of being sick and tired, tired of being railroaded by the left, take up arms to protect their communities against rioters and lawlessness. I expected the host to raise some objection to this line of thought. He didn't. He validated Doug's feelings for maybe a minute or minute in a half, trashed anyone who didn't "think like them" as enemies trying to destroy this country and then half-heartedly said he hoped what Doug was talking about never happened. It was shocking. Trump will go, but if anyone thinks we are done with Trump or Trumpism you are lying to yourself. The next four years will be as brutal as the last. |
