Meh. Folks, we had an election. Just because you want to tantrum it does not change the rules. Sorry but the will of the people has spoken. If 100% of Dems and even 30% of Reps believe the results are kosher then you can roll up on the Four Seasons Landscaping all you want but your next job is going to be mowing lawns.
As dor all this BS legal stuff, it’s not going to hold up in court. Votes are not tallied up on the back of a napkin. There is a bipartisan process of validation before a machine counts. Maybe a recount or whatever will net you a few hundred votes due to human error. The margins are too large to litigate away. |
Also, he lost. Only a few crazies in his inner circle are jumping to his aid. Even FOX is dropping hints that concession is inevitable. I think everyone is on to the next thing. Yes, it does damage that he’s holding on like this. But it’s a fine line between damaging Biden’s legitimacy and damaging his own influence. There is a large contingent of Trump voters who probably just want him to step aside. The big force protecting us is apathy. People simply don’t care this much about politics. His craziness is offputting. Sore loser written all over it. |
Could someone address this please? |
10 state attorney generals filed amicus briefs in support of Trumps PA lawsuit, and his donor list for the litigation includes the CEOs of Home Depot, Schwab, Marvel, and TD Ameritrade. McConnell won’t say boo to him and Barr is investigating. I fear that this garbage has gone mainstream and I’m watching our democracy unravel thread by thread. |
He will retain power with his base, and will never accept the idea that he lost the election. How that actually plays out, I have no idea. I don't even want to think about it. |
His base is almost half the country! |
Some of these people are just die hard Republicans, not all of these folks are rabid Trumpers. |
If enough states do not certify their results by 12/8, the states get 1 viote each.. Biden will lose. Isn't this possible? |
All of the states will certify by then. |
Trump will be to busy defending against a myriad of lawsuits waiting for him as well as the inevitable prosecution by Cy Vance. The GOP folks will back away quietly so they don't upset his base who have the potential for sinking the Republican party for good if they break off. McConnel et al don't believe any if this but their power will slip away if they don't appease tge Trumpers.
If GA turns blue permanently and then Texas they are done and they know it. Then maybe we can move to a popular vote system and put a stop to the outsized influence of certain states. There would be no uncertainty or litigation anymore. Biden win by over 4 million votes, in any other race or in any other country this would be over. |
Actually, there are 331,000,000 Americans 71,000,000 people voted for Trump Less than 1/4 of the population voted for him |
No he cannot.
This is a distraction for his ego. Republicans want to retain power and keep their voters riled up for the Georgia special election People who support his folly literally do not understand how things like the Supreme Court and voter fraud work. This all sounds plausible to them because they truly are ignorant so anything is believable. His presidency is over. As of January 20 he will never set foot in the White House again. |
How can you be sure? Republican governor says Trump is contesting. We are investigating. We can not yet certify. |
That’s a right-wing boogeyman. Do you believe there are monsters under your bed too, or do they live in the closet? |
The administrator of GSA is Refusing to release transition team funds to Biden. This is getting some attention online. Do you think it is significant |
