Prepare for Amy Barrett's name to be forwarded as soon as tomorrow.

Prefer Daniel Cameron.

He’s been anticipating it all week. No one recalls that out nowhere he put forward a list of his twenty SCOTUS nominees last week out of the blue? He was told she was on her deathbed before the public and acted on it like the grim reaper he is.

Who was that? Those words... those words don’t sound like Trump at all so who the heck was that?

Damn. There is some humanity in there somewhere.

I think he was tipped off that it was likely to happen, and told what he had to say.

Right, because he responds so well to being told what to do

Maybe. But when has that ever made him decide to say something nice?

Which one?

Don't engage it's a troll.

Michelle on the SCOTUS would be great. She’s sharp as a tack, a lawyer, and could continue RBG’s legacy.

Bonus is that the GOP would lose their collective minds for the next couple of decades.

Yes, but she has very little judicial experience and even the legal experience she does have does not really apply. The confirmation hearings would be very, very ugly and I doubt she would want to go through that, let alone want the job. She has been adamant in the past about wanting to stay out of politics and I can't imagine that a rigorous job as a supreme court justice would be any more appealing.

There are several black women jurists that are significantly more qualified and would be far better and far less controversial picks.

I wish you people would shut up about Michelle. You tried the same tactic with a fake campaign to get her as the VP nominee.

“Americans re-elected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary,” Mr. McConnell said in a statement. “Once again, we will keep our promise. President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”

Does not say WHEN. PLUS McConnell does not want Court packing. He’s made no promise to deliver a successful vote.

I’m afraid of what more vileness 2020 has in store for us.

I think the writing is on the wall, even from actual conservtives/never Trumpers, that if McConnell pushes this through and Biden wins, and the dems gain the senate, that you can count on 15 SCOTUS justices and statehood for DC and PR.

Senate GOP represents 15 million fewer Americans than Senate Dems

Senate Ds got 18 million more votes than Senate Rs in 2018

There has never been majority support for Trump, GOP or their agenda

Exactly. Most people don't want tax cuts for billionaires.

Yes, it's completely rehearsed. First of all, he heads towards journalists away from his plane for this one thing and then turns around and leaves. He says "wow" without a trace of real surprise. And then he says "I hadn't heard this, you're telling me for the first time." The you're telling me for the first time sounds like "hello officer, I know nothing about the stolen wallet." Oh so, his staff doesn't follow the news? As if the first words out of anyone's mouth this evening who's heard the news is anything other than telling others that RBG has died.

Well, unless Biden gets over 300 EC votes, expect the Nov 3rd election to be judicially contested with all sorts of militias intimidating EC voters and whatnot.

The margin won't matter. Trump and Barr will try anything and everything no matter the result.

What if Trump gets over 300 EC votes?
