He’s been anticipating it all week. No one recalls that out nowhere he put forward a list of his twenty SCOTUS nominees last week out of the blue? He was told she was on her deathbed before the public and acted on it like the grim reaper he is.

yep, I wondered about that...

Well, unless Biden gets over 300 EC votes, expect the Nov 3rd election to be judicially contested with all sorts of militias intimidating EC voters and whatnot.

What if Trump gets over 300 EC votes?

Then he gets to pick the next SC Justice. Fair, right?

We’ll know he rigged it, because that’s a crazy town suggestion.

That came to mind too

I think if Trump and McConnell manage to ram through a nominee, this could seriously backfire on them. This would only energize the Democrats and they aren’ going to win any more Republican votes.

Who was that? Those words... those words don’t sound like Trump at all so who the heck was that?

There’s no way that was a spontaneous, sincere reaction. He knew and was prepped on how to respond.

Filling this seat is worth more than the 2020 election. The GOP can lock up SCOTUS for a generation if we play our cards right.

They are obviously just going to confirm in lame duck. They can’t confirm now bc they probs don’t have the votes and keeping it open is a good rallying call. But win or lose, they’ll just confirm in lame duck and call it a day.

I don’t like this. Again the evangelicals will ignore a incumbent standing over 200,000 dead Americans if it gets them a SCOTUS seat.

Give me a break... if the dems held the senate they would ABSOLUTELY confirm a new SC judge. Stop with the drama.

What’s with the GOP obsession with Catholics on the court?

Pro-life stuff?

Catholic Church’s obsession with sex and with controlling women’s bodies.

Not fair. MANY MANY of us are just as D as you. This is R v. D, not Catholic v. something else.

+1. My whole family is Catholic and they're all Democrats. And my FIL is on the parish council at his Catholic church and he's also a hardcore Democrat. Catholics and Eastern Orthodox tend to vote D.

NP. Curious - how do you reconcile being pro-choice with being Catholic?

I'm going to keep repeating this. That's not how this is supposed to work!
