The immigration status of the accused is relevant to the assault how, exactly?

Because if he/they were not here it wouldn't have happened. Add to the fact the MoCo is intensely invested in sanctuary status, people are rightly concerned that this rapist and accomplice will be set free. On grounds for racism/xenophobia/[name your special status here].

Well, obviously. Also if the girl hadn't been here. Or if there had been a snow day today. Or if the girl had been sick today. Or if somebody had been in the boys' bathroom. Or...

Immigration/citizenship status is not relevant to rape.

Illegal immigrants are not here to obey the law - they have disregarded one already and don't care much about the rest.

So...if you are a U.S. citizen convicted of tape you go to jail. If you are an undocumented immigrant you go...home!?

To jail... and then home (but usually to another jail before that).

If you're blaming this on undocumented people at large, you're a xenophobic asshole who will seize on anything.

If you're playing armchair sleuth as a way of turning your nosiness and need to blame females for the violence they suffer: your bullshit is showing.

A girl was brutally raped by two disgusting predators who need to go to prison for a long time. End of fucking story.

This is an ignorant statement. You are blinded by your political correctness. The last time I checked we were were a nation of laws. This violation of law has repercussions as we are now seeing.

So if you're raped by an unauthorized immigrant, it's different from if you're raped by an authorized immigrant, a tourist, a green card holder, a naturalized citizen, or a US-born citizen?

Say what?

I am saying that you put equal weight on the girl and perpetrators being at school. The girl did not cause any of it. If she was sick, they would find another girl. Yet, if they were not at school, no one would be raped.

If Rockville becomes a sanctuary city you can expect an increase in these types of crime. These boys will contribute nothing to society and want legal and school resources.

No, by your logic, if they were in their country of origin, a girl in their country of origin would have been raped.

This is about rape, it's not about immigration, don't make it about immigration.

It's totally about immigration. Throw all the inane situations that could have happened.

What DID happen is that two MEN, who did not LEGALLY belong in this country were allowed to have close contact with a minor by MCPS. WTF, a ninth grader who is 18.

The rape would be prevented if they weren't in the country to being with. Putting grown men of low iq, low morals and high testosterone in the same environment with 14 year old girls is a really dumb idea.

And then right back to the US.

It is very much about immigration because it happened in the US. Obviously, people who chose to come here illegally overtly disregard the laws and I don't want myself or others becoming victims of such disregard. While there is quite a variety of legal immigrants that arrive in the US, there is some vetting system in place that does not always work, but sort of provides assurance that criminals won't become part of the society.

Anyways, I won't convince you of anything and likewise, you won't be able to change my opinion. I am no Trump supporter, not in the least, but the refusal of many liberals to see that illegal immigration is wrong and has bad outcomes is puzzling to me.

This will sound crass and will most definitely offend your sensibilities, but here in the US we have an obligation to our citizens. Not illegal aliens that invade our schools. I know, crazy that a country puts its people first, you have been brainwashed by democrats. I get that and I understand you have been lied too and feel for it. But the law still stands.
