No, by your logic, if they were in their country of origin, a girl in their country of origin would have been raped.

This is about rape, it's not about immigration, don't make it about immigration.

It is very much about immigration because it happened in the US. Obviously, people who chose to come here illegally overtly disregard the laws and I don't want myself or others becoming victims of such disregard. While there is quite a variety of legal immigrants that arrive in the US, there is some vetting system in place that does not always work, but sort of provides assurance that criminals won't become part of the society.

Anyways, I won't convince you of anything and likewise, you won't be able to change my opinion. I am no Trump supporter, not in the least, but the refusal of many liberals to see that illegal immigration is wrong and has bad outcomes is puzzling to me.

+1000 also a liberal and a naturalized citizen.

You guys live in a bubble. You don't understand the crime gets inflicted, not in your primarily white schools but perpetrated in the immigrant communities, on the weaker members, the rule followers.

You have no clue. If you have such love sign up to be a sponsor, I'm sure one of these lovely young men could use one. How would you like to be alone and helpless like this child was with them on your home. Safe to be open minded when you are not the one in danger.

Unfortunately, the higher the illegal population - the higher the crime rate. The sex crime rate goes up by an even larger percentage. Ask yourself - is this a society you want to be a part of?

Still - nothing should have happened to make news. I hope to goodness it's not rape, but I'm not too hopeful.

An arrest at a school for rape always makes news -- as it should.

That said, let's see how this case plays out. One possibility is this was consensual and the girl made up the story after regretting it later. Notice how the suspects did not flee the school after, but were arrested at school.

Don't be gross. 18 yo shouldn't be having consensual sex with a 14 yo, either.

This is exactly she way I feel. It is NOT xenophobia. There is an absolute difference between a Latino person who is here LEGALLY and one who is here ILLEGALLY. It is quite possible that the victim of this crime was Latina, and also an immigrant.

I also cannot understand why it is difficult for people to understand that illegal immigration can have terrible consequences.

Change the rules and make it easier to immigrate legally if that is what you support. But don't defend illegal immigration.

Is there a link to the police report?

This. We will soon be hearing that her skirt was too short, her blouse cut too low, her eye makeup too heavy, her smile suggestive...

Here is a copy of the police report, read how these pieces of trash sodomized this child and then come back with your consensual bullshit

Can the PPs who are saying this was consensual PLEASE READ THIS.

Ugh, disgusting.

Which is what, exactly? Besides the tautological one that one is here with authorization and one is here without authorization? And what is the difference to the girl at Rockville HS if her alleged attackers were here with papers or without?

So which is it? Presumption of guilt or wait for facts?

I am wondering this also.

The PPs want us to wait and see if the boys are really guilty, but are willing to come on here and speculate that the girl might be lying. Those PPs pride themselves on not being racist, but in all honesty, they come across as very sexist.

Their argument is that Latino boys are often unfairly targeted by our justice system. But OTOH, Latino girls are often liars who claim rape after having consensual sex.

(I'm only assuming the victim was Latino since it has been said that the boys only spoke Spanish, so if they were communicating with the victim....)

Wow, you are really projecting. Nobody...NOBODY...said that the victim was Latina and that Latinas lie about rape. Wow.

That is absolutely NOT what I was saying. But, you are implying that by saying that the girl might be lying. You should look at your own comments and quit defending the suspects and blaming the victim.

I am fairly certain that the boys ARE guilty. I am NOT the one on here saying that we should wait and see because maybe the girl was lying and it was consensual.

This will sound crass and will most definitely offend your sensibilities, but here in the US we have an obligation to our citizens. Not illegal aliens that invade our schools. I know, crazy that a country puts its people first, you have been brainwashed by democrats. I get that and I understand you have been lied too and feel for it. But the law still stands.

A girl was raped (according to the police report), and you're talking about immigration policy.

They would NOT HAVE BEEN HERE. Why is that so hard to understand? They don't even have an address for the one kid. He's already broken a law to enter the country. WTF does he have to lose. He's already broken one law and gotten away with it, why not break others?

This is factually incorrect.

The girls rights should be respected unless we hear something otherwise. However, this may be a time to begin dialogue on our lack of immegration policy.
